I submitted a ticket yesterday to get my cloth shoulders resolved, and here's what happened:Mid 15 key a GM messages me asking to log, i'm like alright it's already depleted we threw so i'm just gonna log so it can be over withI log back in and I gained 4k residuum (went from 5k to 9k)And my shoulders were missingThe GM basically scrapped my shoulders and didn't do anything elseI'm so confused lmao
We need more transparency with RNG. Anything with a random chance should be visible what the rewards are along with the chance to obtain. If they are gonna make WoW into a casino they should be required to post the odds just like a real casino.
This is actually absurd, as a demon hunter I had 2/6 chances to get our BiS trait (furious gaze) this was essentially reduced from a 33% chance to a 20% chance. Regardless of the utility of traits on the missing piece if someone wants to re-roll they should be able to. This is blizzards mistake.
This is easy: give a refund to any cloth or leather user who bought shoulders and asks for one. Like why is there even any debate?
I think it depends on a lot of factors, like according to the current top US WW in PvP. Those shoulders are the best possible shoulders you can obtain, should we take into account factors such as whether the piece ends up being BiS in other aspects of the game such as PvP or Mythic+. Or does it get drawn to specifically be for raiding. The whole situation is in a pretty rough spot all things considered.
Imagine telling this to a blizz cs rep and them saying "no only spriests lul" this was my experience this morning.

I think residuum vendor should only sell all specific pieces of every ilvl tier (415/430/445) and not those RNG tokens. RNG has no place in this kind of system.
I can understand Blizzard's take on this if the main premise of the article is fact. From what you say Mantle of Ceremonial Ascension is so strong for Shadow Priests that they would spend Titan Residuum on roll after roll to get the piece (if they had the Titan Residuum). Of course they'd be upset and deserve a refund if the item they were trying to roll for was bugged out of the loot table.Castella you might be confused but the GM did what they should have done - you submitted a ticket about not being able to get the shoulders on a roll, he refunded the Titan Residuum you spent on the roll you submitted the ticket about, and scrapped the shoulders you received on the roll you complained about. You should not get a "bonus" pair of shoulders to wear/de/scrap as well as a refund of Titan Residuum - the refund is so you can now roll and have a genuine chance at the Mantle of Ceremonial Ascension. Also from the article above Mantle of Fastidious Machinations whilst being an acceptable result from a Titan Residuum roll that a leather wearer might use, it does not come across that leather wearers would spend Titan Residuum on roll after roll to chase this item. If in fact some leather wearing players did chase this item and have previously raised a ticket with Blizzard then yes they should have been refunded too. If they raise a ticket now then no, they should not - yes I know some will scream about not knowing before now but seriously, no-one's going to take your word about rolling hoping to get a piece that's not BiS and being upset you missed out! These sort of BiS piece situations aren't something that affects the whole player base as not everyone is interested in filling their toon with BiS pieces - why spend time doing that if you aren't a cutting edge raider/top key mythic runner - I certainly don't lol! The article also mentions that it's BiS specifically for Shadow Priests - not Holy or Discipline, not any Warlock or Mage spec either. Therefore the same argument goes as for the leather piece - are we supposed to believe that clothies other than Shadow's spent Titan Residuum on rolls specifically chasing Mantle of Ceremonial Ascension even though it was not BiS for them? Considering the type of players who would be spending Titan Residuum in that way I think not.
I had the same thing happen with the "The Chosen" TOV mythic transmog chests, they didn't want to help me like they had helped a lot of other people. I was so mad, I ended quitting wow for a few months, for the first time in years. Yeah, not even WoD made me quit.
Ty Wowhead for picking up this topic. I am truly grateful. Hopefully now this topics gets the attention it deserves, as I feel that the way of blizzard handling this situation is kinda absurd and bad. The whole refund thing should not happen because a piece is BiS or not in the first place. It was a bug, that prevented a certain item from ever dropping out of the token, if for whatever reason (BiS or just cuz u like the traits or w/e) you targeted that piece and due to the bug were unable to obtain it, blizzard should offer a refund. But only refunding cuz it was BiS for one spec is a bizzare policy.
Except the piece in question is 1 of 2 "BiS" pieces for DH that people will roll on until they get either one or both for M+/Raid purposes.
If you spent Residuum on - let's say - 10 tokens to get the Shoulders you wanted, the only way you're getting ALL of it back is to give Blizzard what you got from the 10 pairs you destroyed to do so.#SeemsLegit.
So people that spent a ^&*! ton of residuum only get max one reroll back? lolI don't understand how people cba to even bother gearing with these stupid rules.
