Yeah, but that should be more of a class skin for warlocks than an individual class of its own. To me, the two sound mechanically the same. Spec wise, one dots with curses and stuff, one summons hordes of minions, and the other pelts the target with destructive magic. Replace warlock curses with diseases and poisons for affliction, the *many* different demon summons with undead minions for demonology, and hellfire and fel magic with death and blood magic for destruction. Same diff. I will say though, given that there's no story reason the core races are getting new customization option and that the devs are giving that stuff to us just cause, I think they should follow through with that logic and, in lieu of a new class, give the existing classes these skins just cause it would be cool.That's my two copper.
Most of you peoples' idea of "New class" is actually new spec. I mean seriously guys? Blizzard didnt added a 3rd spec for DH because they would feel like a warlock. Or added 4th spec to druids to fit their lore fantasy. But what the hell you guys are demanding? Necromancer? Which is actually unholy death knight. Dark Ranger? Which is elite forsaken marksman. Void Ranger and Shadow Ranger? You mean some marksman with the who uses Void and Shadow Magic? Tinker? Just because there's a group of gnomes in Island who can "tank/dps/heal" doesn't mean its relevant as widespread because only gnomes could achieved that. Not even Goblins. So you want a class which could be restricted to Goblins only? And most of you guys didnt mentioned about having shadow hunter. Though which is already tied with trolls but still you guys didnt mentioned about it in Shadowlands which proves your narrow idea about the lore. Someone said "plague" in shadowlands. But Shadowlands is not a place where you get corrupted or plague. It's simply a place which we also know as "Afterlife" and it harnesses Death magic. Death is also a force of the Warcraft universe so its essentially not "evil". We're going to change our idea of "death" completely within a year. So comparing it to the real world's death is stupid.Back to the original topic: Maybe you guys believe you're extremely smart and could outsmart blizzard thinktanks. But actually you're not. Whatever great idea you guys are sharing couldnt be enough to make a new class. Rather they are specialization. Though we already have a bit of those specs in game so whatever you guys are demanding could be a cosmetic change for a spec. And many of them are strictly tied with racial lore. Blizzard tried that in vanilla with priest and they failed. Racial themed spells makes imbalance.
Should have done something if not a class new specs or spec customization would have been nice. Taliesin had some great ideas such as allowing warlocks be necromancers a light variant for shadow priests and so on it would have made sense like when they expanded what race cold be what class in cata learning new ways to combat new threats it wouldn't have taken as much work as a new class and it would have added much needed feature to this bare bones expansion.
NO new races or class what exactly is the wow factor for this expansion Thorgast?, oh you mean the deep dungeon system you copied from FF14?
Unholy Dk's are technically Necromancer's. so i dont see why everyone wants a Necromancer.
