This is so dumb I can't comprehend it.The change with water strider was dumb in the first place. But this? What the hay
lol seriouslyno one even likes daze as a mechanic and you make it more annoying just to make the crappy mount equipment system seem more appealing.just remove daze period.
For everyone crying about this change:Heaven forbid blizzard make one of the Mount equipments actually viable. If it's that important you can still buy the leather working bardingThis is great news, so that my characters without any absorbs don't feel definitively less useful purely because they don't have access to constant absorbs. Really, absorbs shouldn't have prevented dazing in the first place.
This could not be any more confusing. After all these years... why change the rules? What possible designer reason could there be behind this change? Certainly no one was asking for this.
Blizzard what the hell is going on at your company? A lot of peoples reactions are probably like this https://tenor.com/view/confused-john-travolta-gif-5114829 with the changes you apply that are just stupid. Look at the definition of daze It has been confirmed that friendly mobs (for escort quests for example) can daze other mobs that are running away. It also seems that the dazed debuff can't be applied by a mob if you are "Immune" (such as with a Paladin Divine Shield or Mage Ice Block, if you "Resist" the hit, or if all the damage from the hit is AbsorbedAs Gordon Ramsay says to incompetent cooks we can ask Blizzard - Where's your f**king brain?
This is an absolutely moronic change. No one in the history of the game has ever thought, "You know what would make this game better? More ways to be Dazed!"The correct move would be to just delete Dazed from the game. It's not fun. It doesn't add anything to the game, except tremendous frustration.
Whelp, there goes any reason to log onto my farming Demo lock.Way to kick the horse out from under another of my alts, Blizz.
It's nice to know about this but I don't care about this, small change doesn't affect for me.Their priority must be the classes, reduce RNG and give more rewards for raids, dungeons and pvp with specific acqsition of gear instead of randomness.
I expect the shil intelligent fans that yelled left and right how removal of waterwalking from strider is not a nerf, and it's paranoia to consider that as controlling player transportation (by increasing time spent traveling, and being well in line with some other changes made by Blizz lately) to step forward once again and explain how this is implemented solely to augment player's options and immersion.
There goes me returning for 8.2.
Not gonna lie, I didn’t even know that you couldn’t be dazed with an absorb shield. Quite frankly, I think people are overreacting to overreact on this change.
Just when you think the devs at Blizzard can't sink any lower, they come up with this absurdity and will call it "progress" or "a much needed change" trying to sell their own stupidity as a positive. You would think they'd have learned by now that implementing any quality of life reduction, especially downright stupid ones with asinine reasoning or none at all, will result in a massive barrage of trolling, flak and anger from their playerbase.
This is what the Modern dev team is going to do after Classic comes out. They think massive amounts of annoyances is why people like Classic, so they are just going to make it nothing but changes like this and then scratch their heads wondering why no one likes Live
Daze has already been made so much worse ever since they made mobs scale to your level.
