First to post yay! Great interviews, I love that the Devs are so willing to sit down and talk about the game!
I hope they don't screw up heirlooms and the (eventual...?) heirloom tab.Through pushing my way through Darkmoon Faire (I am completely awful at the Humanoid Cannonball; my personal record is six blasts to get the five points), I've got all the currency PvE gear except for three 1-H weapons (tank sword, agi sword, and int mace, IIRC). I'll pick those three up through Argent Tournament, leaving just the helmet/pants purchases through the guild vendors (once I have some gold...) for tank plate, int mail, and int leather, plus tank cloak. After all that work, I REALLY want to be able to fast-level any of my lowbies...
loved the con and the info- i want OW now!
This was better than both WoW panels =/
"No plans right now for future flying, we're going to play it by ear!"I remain very upset about this. Hopefully when the vast unwashed masses who don't read forums or wowhead find out they can't fly, the response is sufficient to change their minds.-- Not looking to start a flamewar about this. Please don't start one.
And the chances of them adding flying back just gets smaller and smaller. *Sigh* Oh well. Less subs I have to pay.
Fras Siabi from Stratholme giving wowhead an interview!
I get the 'all orcs' comment from Alex but they should have thought about that before making an expansion where the orcs are supposed to be the main antagonist. Now we end up with a Iron Horde that isn't threatening at all and gets destroyed by level 100. The Blizzcon comment about the Iron Horde being the current 'scary threat' is silly when compared to the actual real threat still posed by the Old Gods and a certain Queen they've managed to ignore for 3 expansions now (well ever since the beginning of said expansion 3 expansions ago) and our own universes Legion. And then changing the story from being stranded on Draenor to portals being simple to make back to Azeroth lore wise makes the entire story actually pointless after the Dark Portal is destroyed since the factions could have literally just opened a portal back to Azeroth and left the Iron Horde to succumb to infighting or the angry Legion.
T -3 Days *-* Cant wait.
Nice interview! :) love to watch these kind of things It's intresting :)
The more talk of garrisons I see/hear, the more excited I get. May be the biggest thing I'm looking forward to in t his expansion!
These were great. Very interesting - great job all around. :)
Come on. There's nothing wrong with garrisons being, to some degree, not optional. Professions have been revamped because of garrisons (one of the previous answers for why there were no crafted greens were that garrisons would help you get gear, among other effects). No flying is (apparently) not as much of an issue because superpowered garrison toys like Mage Towers make it unnecessary. Dailies are virtually completely gone, seemingly (based on what I've read) replaced by garrison missions for followers. Choosing a garrison outpost affects quests (and perks) available in given zones. Please don't trot out the "optional" word given how many things were affected by garrisons, which is one of the main advertised features of WoD."No plans right now for future flying." If "we wanted to have treetops" was the reason for no flying (I'm reading the summary so don't know if that was a joke), WOW. So much for the "we'll consider whether to add flight for 6.1."I think Pet Battles were a great success: I have no interest them and feel like I missed nothing. That is optional.Sad we didn't get an answer on Level 90 heirlooms.
Thanks for pushing on the Dailies questions. Those were good questions. It seems they want a balance between too many and too few. Why they have too few in WoD is mind boggling.I guess the chapter quests and stuff in the Garrisons will be like the 5.2 quests. They were really good and well received.
WoD 'll be awesome! I bet it 'll be the best expansion
@rodalphoWell, I quite like the fact that you can't fly at start. Alot of people were just rushing max level, buying the flying skill and then never bothered to use a ground mount and explore. Giving people a patch or two of space to just explore the zones manually, instead of flying over them is great. But aswell, I can understand your point. Flying makes alot of things easier then just riding on a ground mount. I feel like they'll implement flying in 6.1 or 6.2. It will be fun to see how things will unfold.
I'm sure they'll do just like they've done for previous expansions regarding flying in Draenor. I mean, when have we ever started a new xpac where we could fly right off the bat? After a couple of months of running around on the ground, being immersed in all of the beautiful new content they'll probably announce that we can either all fly at level 100, or if you have at least one toon at 100 all of your characters can fly in Draenor. I would be SO surprised if flying never happened in WoD.
