I hope this isn't the end of the story. Because this is not the satisfying ending that was promised, in my opinion. This is the Night elves taking even more losses, to regain a little of what they lost. But they didn't just lose a world tree. Heck, they still had one in Hyjal. They lost a horrific amount of people. That were sent to hell. Before that they also lost another tree in Val'sharah, as well as Ysera. Before that, losses of territory to the Horde in Garrosh days. Before that, the sacrifice of their blessings of good health and immortality. And since the loss of Teldrassil and Darnassus there was another bloody war with the Horde. And a bloody war, largely off-screen, with the world-swarming Scourge. And the whole Night Warrior rampage Tyrande endured. And now, they got a very hyped up tree. The window between life and death. The instrument of renewal. Paid for with the sacrifice of countless souls that before that endured literal hell. So, 6 years after Darnassus burned, they've gained something. After sacrificing yet more lives against Primalists and their own corrupted kin. What has been gained? Well, the Aspects got what they were seeking. That's nice. But what about the Night Elves? The survivors of all they endured? They get.. a giant tree to live under? I don't mind the location so much, because you can link their lands with dream portals. But it just seems far from enough to balance the losses. If someone burns down my home and family, and then my dog dies whilst defending my new home under construction for the next 6 or 7 years, the completion of my new home isn't some victory that anywhere near outbalances what I've lost.I was really hoping Blizzard would have some cool twist yet. Like "And then Amirdrassil produced acorns that returned the lost souls within its boughs to life as playable dryads". And who knows, they still might. And yeah, if this all pays off with some huge thing yet to come in 10.2.5 I will be very glad to eat my words. Just this though? A new tree? I don't think it evens the scales. It's some relief, at most.
You can see Delaryn in the background when Tyrande pours the water. I hope this means she'll come back to the Night Elves. They trusted her to attend Amirdrassil's ceremony.
Anyone else seeing Tyr and watcher Koranos next to this cutscene area? They have a voiced dialog interaction that no ones talking about
well spoken
