My love for the game may had faded over the years but my love for the communities passion for the game will always be respected.
Cool fan art. But I wouldn't want something like this in the game. It's not without issues and I don't think it's worth the resources to initially implement but also the resources it would constantly drain down the line whenever anything has to change regarding classes. Then you have to iterate that through 23 different flavors...
I wonder how much time it took for the person to create all of this, because THIS is what I would love to see happen. We have so many options, so many stories to tell, so many paths to choose. This man deserves the attention from the devs. 100%
So first off, as someone who doesn't even play Paladino, I didnt think I would want this as much as I do lolSecondly, and it's just my two cents here obviously, I dont really have a problem with opening up classes to all races. I can see where you could make some lore arguments for druids being a bit picky about who they let in (lookin at you, goblins, mechagnomes, gnomes, forsaken, and maaayyyybe belfs) but otherwise, seems like uppity could make the argument that theres been enough intra-faction exposure and cooperation between classes that anyone could be anything. And if you had multiple skins based on race+class fantasy like suggested in the pictures above, that'd be amazing and would add so much richness to the game
More race/class combos in an MMORPG is always a huge win.
I would actually play a paladin if I could be a night elf or undead!
Do people remember that in classic, Priests of different races have different signature spells according to their belief system, some with passive too?
Goblin wouldnt ever be able to be paladins. They have only faith in $.They literally make deals to be shamans. The Light wouldnt barter like that.
Cool!
That's why I LOVE DnD paladins.Even tho I was introduced to the concept of paladins in WC3, and loved them always in WoW with the connection to the Light, playing DnD made me love their concept even more. It's not the Light. It's a solemn Vow, an Oath, a devotion and dedicaton to do something, that drives you and gives you power. Be it the Light, the Sea, maybe the pure notion of Freedom, of Devotion, Vengeance, defending the Crown, etc... This Oath and dedication to a cause is what makes you a Paladin. Your cause is the single most important thing as a Paladin, in the DnD settings. In the Warcraft universe, it's the same, but this cause is spreading the Holy Light and cleansing the world from it's adversaries, as seen in more recent lore pieces. All of the examples from the post above would work 100% well in a DnD setting, and nobody would bat an eye, because they fit. As much as I LOVE wow's original lore, getting a revamp on this would be interesting. As a simple example, imagining a Void Knight, that's pretty much a Paladin, but fueled by the Void. Or a Viridian Warden, fueled by Life itself. At their core, they are the same. But Lore wise, not.
Sad, no Orc concept?
Did you not read the concept? They are not using the Light exactly, they are utilizing Titan technology to create a sort of facsimile of the Light. The idea behind a lot of these is to have the playstyle of a paladin be available for other races, but not break the lore in the process. Not all of them are actually using the Light, but the playstyle would be unchanged, just the names and spell effects would be different to fit the theme.
amazing job
There technically is a Riftblade character in game already. On the Void Elf team for the islands there is a Void Elf paladin basically.
I just really really want that blood elf paladin set that is red and black... i know its real and they just need to release it already
I like em all other than tideguard, since its too similar to resto shaman with the water.
OK, but I would kill all the Naaru just to have that Blood Knight armor.
There is too much creativity and too much work here for Blizzard.
Vulperas... I feel they áre missing but i don't remember why
