I have played the entire patch. Domination GEMS working everywhere will most likely make me quit. I only enjoy m+ and its the only reason why i still play this game. If im at a seven percent disadvantage because of it then i will quit for sure... gg blizz. Thought they would work on the systems already in place and not &*!@ up the game with new ones. Guess mr watcher was spitting lies as usual.
Something is wrong here.Domination bonuses work in Raid, maw & torghast while gem single effects work in every zone. For this reason nobody is really forced to do raiding in order to do mythic+ or pvp (remember that pvp also gives extra ilvl). I dont really know why ppl complains about it, its a method to make raids useful when in 9.0 was a laugh since u could get equipped easily with pvp or mythic+ (since almost all trinkets from raid were trash & bis were from mythic+ or pvp, or wep never had the stat u wanted for example and u had to do mythic+).Another thing i dont get: u really complain about being forced to Raid, but only hunters are really "forced" because of sylvanas cloak & legendary bow, if u dont want to Raid just do whatever u want.
How many times are Blizzard gonna make the same mistakes before they learn ANYTHING from it. They have established that they want you to be able to aquire the gear for the content you play through the content you play. That's why they nerfed PvP gear in PvE. Now they are making 5 pieces of gear from raid more or less mandatory to be competitive in m+ and PvP, ane most likely a weapon on top of it. This is getting very annoying... Is this going to be like azerite traits and trinkets from raids in BfA? After several patches they nerf them 50 times until they eventually reach the state they should have been in from the start in PvP? Jesus christ.. It's just the same mistakes on repeat with WoW since Legion ended. I wish we could gi back to 7.2/7.2.5 :-(
i just dont like if you use a normal ilvl item over a mythic ilvl cause it has a socket. also that you have to craft your legendarys again cause of the wrong slot.
those sockets are supposed to work only in raid, maw and torghast :)
pog
Remember when the player base applauded the fact that Shadowlands was supposed to have less garbage systems?Well, here we are. With even more garbage systems.
Nicely solved. PvP is just for those people interesting who play PvP only, Raidgear is only for those interesting for those who do raiding ... just those m+ guys only there is something missing..... Please invent a kind of Dungeons gear where you can have special abilities/itemlevel enabled in Dungeons only, while they are useless in PvP and Raiding.
Can't you just use 5 damage gems?
The general issue is not how powerful the shards themselves are, but the fact that Blizzard saw the need to add them in and make them work in M+ and PvP. Just why? It's not an old system, in which you could say "well, that's how the game has always been". This is completely new, and generally unnecessary.Don't get me wrong. The shards are a cool concept, and will likely make raiding a lot more fun. But for the PvP'er who wants to push 2.4k or the M+ guy that wants to reach 20+ keys, this will be yet another "You want BiS stuff? Go raid then", which was already a thing talked rapidly about during BfA, and one of the more mentionable positives about Shadowlands.Disable them in PvP and M+, or make them also drop from said content. Why make people feel once again "forced" to do something they don't want to, to feel competitive in the content they do like?
I'm really looking forward to the patch...except for this.I wish they would just disable the gems for m+ and pvp. If 7-10% is accurate that is too much to ignore. Higher ilvl on weapons and a few slots, domination sockets on quite a few slots you can't apply a socket to so not too much of a trade-off.Then you decide that you'd like to take a shot at these pieces in mythic raiding, but you got a !@#$ty schedule that allows you to commit two nights every other weeks while being Alliance in the EU. Rocks will become sentient before that happens.
Hopefully Blizzard will do something to address the weird situation of asking everybody to recraft their legendaries to avoid taking up a Domination slot? Perhaps a quest could be introduced to grant all legendary items a domination slot? if their intention is to have legendaries be useable and up to date in terms of power throughout the expansion, we shouldn't be in this situation?
