Oh no! Anyways...
Doubleagent did it without the 100% exp buff and without 110-120 heirlooms
Idk why people feel the need to discount these guys.People want to play the game in different ways. They want to play the game in a way no one has ever before. This is how they have fun. Stop being d***s about it. Let them enjoy the game. This is a task that requires great dedication. It takes a lot of time and a lot of commitment. More than you ever would in anything ever. Also, just because someone has an exp boost from looms, doesn't make it "super easy"Just like how people thought being a DH meant it's a free pass to do the +20 solo. Like being a DH means you don't need any skill or knowledge about game mechanics. To solo a +20.Or when a DH carried 5 people in a vision. Like being a DH meant that you would somehow survive one shots, or knowing how to strategically avoid boss mechanics that would 1 shot. You need to understand that people find enjoyment in very very difficult content that has no extra reward.
What will happen to the panda starting zone in shadowlands? Will they have to choose a faction right off the bat and then head to Exile's Reach or will Exile's Reach not have any pandas? And don't monks gain the ability to teleport to kun lai at level 20 or something like that? Could you use that ability to escape into other zones without choosing a faction?
they should add a feat of strength for reaching max level with a neutral char
IIRC, gathering to max level with low level herbs is already non-viable because of changes to herbs in I think... WoD? Legion? It was during some kind of XP numbers squish that the gathering method actually became non-viable (low level herbs stopped giving 10 XP, but instead gave 0 after a certain point), but new methods related to some pet quests became available or something. I briefly talked to Doubleagent about it ages ago.Unless they reversed that XP thing.
I did it on the PTR because I was bored (And I'm that moron who tested Guardian of the Elders to see if it kept its name when tamed), and it's perfectly fine right now. I'm 33 on PTR, and I'm getting proportionately more exp than I was on live. Of course, I'm taking breaks and gaining rest exp, and the bonuses heirlooms now give definitely make it a bit nicer for a sporadic leveler. With a full level of rested (My panda on live was untouched for 3 weeks, so it was beyond rested), and I got almost 4 levels before rest disappeared. At level 26, I was getting 2.75% of a level per node with rest. That's about the same I was getting around level 50~ on live with rest. Without rest, I'm getting 1% exp per node, almost 2% (I believe 1.67, could be off though). It'll probably stay at approximately 1% until maybe 35 or 36, and even then, unless there's a sudden severe exp drop, it won't be bad at all. My goal isn't max level, since I just want my hunter to keep a useless hunter pet with a pretentious name. Leveling to 39 is a joke for a casual leveler, and I'm sure 50 isn't so bad prior to Shadowlands. The exp dropoff may suck tremendously, but it is better than live. Don't let the exp changes deter you fellow crazy people. Get that max level, either now or when it's easier.EDIT: What pet battles can you use for panda exp? Having a hard time finding them.
Blizz saving the people from themselves. Good on em.
There's a lot of folks who enjoy the gathering professions. Why nerf it? How would nerfing it help the game in any way? It's meant to harm people who enjoy other aspects of the game. I wish Blizzard would STOP insisting they know the only way that people can enjoy the game and focus on all the things broken in the game such as class balancing, staying true to the spec feel, how people can acquire gear-- the casual player vs the die-hard raider, imbalances in PVP, etc. Focus on fixing what's wrong, not on creating issues.
Ehh, I don't really care about those guys at all. There is one player that managed to hit max level with a neutral character and that player is Doubleagent. People saw this and make up imaginary achievements to try and get some recognition. "Oh he was the first to ever think about it? Well I'll be the first one to get to the NEW EXPANSION, after having done the hard part on a 100% XP buff of course ;)"Seriously, regardless of which of those two win, both already lost so the attempt is null.
Seriously, some of you complain about absolutely everything.I reckon if blizzard reduced their wow subscription cost people would complain.
Hate to ruin the fun but, someone beat them to it, a player named Xihaô on AegwynnCan't say for sure if that's the first player on EU to reach level 120, there's a whole community on xpoff maybe they can tell who was first.I stopped keeping track on the neutral stuff after I stopped leveling my neutral which is currently sitting at 113.Might as well clarify how things work on the isle, since I've been there for a while :DHerbs and Ore went through changes a few times. Up until BfA if I'm not mistaken, after about level 80ish you'd stop getting experience from herbs and ore completely, so the only source of experience would be doing the 5 battle pet dailies that were account wide and could be turned in straight from the quest log. After BfA launch Blizzard made custom logic for Wandering isle herbs and ore so that they give experience all the way to 120 as if they were high level herbs. But that was nerfed after about a few months, so now herbs still give exp up to 120, but at level 60 the exp starts to go down, and at 110-120 range it's really not worth doing because it would take too much game play time for human beings. So, as long as those pet battle dailies don't get removed in SL, it's still viable to level a neutral.
A little presumptive to think noone reading posts have done anything that would take a great deal of dedication... just saying *cough* working in a hospital during covid *cough*
I think it's a fair nerf, especially considering no other profession grant experience. I remember leveling alts in BfA and get quite too much exp for just picking herbs around. It's also purely optional to level a neutral panda so it's not like it'd affect a lot of people.
