Commit to making Dragon Riding work across the game anyway.
Dragon riding is more like a glorified gliding system, you can only fly (I mean, glide) for a limited time; you can extend this over time as you progress in the system and by doing the minigame tricks, flips and so on. You can't fly with dragon riding for 5 minutes, from a zone to another. For permanent flying, we'll get the standard flying system at some point later on, as they said from the launch event (likely in 10.1).
My hope is that Dragon riding is flat out superior to regular flying by the time regular flying becomes available.A real flying system with mechanics and a better feel than traditional "flying" is going to be amazing, if they design it correctly.I'm wondering how many people would play MS flight simulator if it worked like flying in WoW up to this point. I'm guessing it would be a number that is quickly approaching zero.Even arcade style flight sims are an absolute blast, think No Man's Sky for instance.Holy heck I hope they get this right, the potential greatness for this system is staggering, if only they don't drop the ball. Make us not want to use traditional flying, Blizz!
See everybody in 10.3
oh god thank you for that... That dragonflying thingin gona be fun 5 minutes and then it will be boring/tedious like previous features developped by blizzard when they try to innovate (island, warfront, torghast and so on...)
cool.
