I thought the centaur quest was really well done, not shoved in your face like a lot of other games do.Though the content in DF, especially the repeated "Go to this point every hour, on the hour, kill mobs for 10 minutes and thats it." is very copy paste lazy. And yep, im sure this is an MS thing, he didnt agree or they wanted him gone, and hes gone.
Remember how every one retires from said company n the game or w/e continues, been that way for yrs now, i've literally seen almost the same comments post every time someone retires for the past 18yrs I played WoW, I mean Microsoft/Blizzard probably had ppl ready for the position since he probably told them months ahead, let this man retire n enjoy his life he had to put up with us/WoW community for the past 12yrs, may he have a wonderful next adventure w/e that may take him
Wish him the best. But is it just me, or when people make these farewell posts it seems like everyone parrots that "I don't have any details for what I'm doing next" -ish line. Like, you've just quit your job and don't have a plan for what's next? No new job lined up? Of course they aren't obligated to share their future plans but it always strikes me as strange to include something about "idk what I'm doing next" in a farewell. Little worried for them. lol It's hard for me to believe anyone would quit without something else lined up/planned. So I wonder, is some contract thing that makes it so they can't just come out and say "I'm going to work for X" or "I'm starting my own studio" ect. Maybe my memory isn't that great and other departures have been more direct but idk it just seems like that sentiment (idk what I'm doing next) is included in a lot of these farewell posts.
Aww, gonna miss him; he was a good WoW dude. I wish him well on his next adventure!
Good, the game went to complete ^&*! bc of this man. Dragon flight was a flop….he allowed what the original founders of Blizzard to be destroyed. Huge W. The story, the core of what made WoW a household name can begin.
Best of luck in your future.
Why are people sad by this? He literally managed the worst years ever in wow history other than maybe Legion and Mists. Shadowlands after season 1 was horrendous, BFA was awful gameplay wise for most classes, basically everything after wrath went downhill fast with 1 really good expac in legion and maybe a good season or two (last raid tier of Draenor was really good). Time for some new blood honestly. Things got really good in Dragonflight when it seemed like literally someone else was managing Dragonflight and started listening to the community. But even this expacs story seemed half ass like Shadowlands. We get an amazing season 1 but it's like the scripts get tossed in the garbage or something for season 2 and even worse Final xpac bosses that don't add up to the epic beginnings we had. It's like deadlines were not hit and projects thrown together last minute. Gone have been the days of fighting epic bosses like the Lich King, Illidan and Deathwing. Honestly seemed like Razzy G and Denathrius could have been final xpac bosses. Hopefully this world soul saga story ends up giving is a bigger climatic end and cliffhangers to what's next with perhaps a season 4 bridge gap raid or preview after a "fated" season.
They keep removing lore characters without introducing new ones. Just like how they run their company.
Thank you sir, you were always a cheerful dude despite the challenges. Have a great time with your next adventure.
Either the duo couldnt agree on stuff or Holly wanted more power to herself so John got clapped. In every video he seemed so calm and happy, made me happy too while watching the videos, gonna miss him.
He seemed fine, but in my opinion the more people who get replaced at Blizzard, the better. 🤷🏼♂️ If he's been "in charge of Warcraft", then the buck stops with him, and I'm glad he's leaving; maybe the next person in that role will let Blizzard tell BADASS stories again?
