Bad title. 0/10, not journalistically accurate based on the interviews, and causing an uproar. Please fix.
This is the kind of expansion only features that are good. Something fun, that isnt ridiculous amounts of grindy character power.
Sounds great, but I hope they let me use my other mounts with this movement scheme. Not super thrilled to be riding a dragon because I've wanted to use my bat in this way for years.
The lack of traditional flying in the new zones is a disappointment and curbs my enthusiasm for the new expansion. Hopefully, Feasal’s comment:
Ummm if you have motion sickness this could be a very bad thing if there's no actual flying ever.
Reading these comments is kinda funny. We are getting more interactive flying from day1 in an expansion and there is never ending salt. Sure it kind of bites that our current mounts won't be able to use this system, but how many of your seven hundred mounts do you use regularly? We shouldn't not add a better system because it might anger a select few. That said, I await the verdict on this mechanic after testing and seeing its effects.
The full article quote regarding legacy flying:
WoW was a better game when there was a sense of exploration, this mount system is dope. Fun, no player power, interactive, makes you interact with the world instead of just sitting and hovering above the world. It's a clever solution to the flying problem. I hate that in TBCC the world is just something I come down to to pick a node. It was so much fun when leveling through it and navigating it and meeting up with people.
How come every expansion or new patch/zone the mounts suddenly forget how to fly? Its stupid. Oh, real world like, you have to obtain a licence to be able to fly here. Well even the real world licences are international valid. It is abusive to make us "pay" for flying every damn patch. We payed already, give it a rest Blizzard! More reasons to make you hate the game and quit than reasons to play. Thanks
This decision will stop me from buying this expansion. I love my two person mount.
Dragon flying is not "replacing" flying. Flying has never been a part of a new expansion's leveling experience. Dragon flying is adding something we've never had. Now, if there's not a future patch during the expansion that permits regular flying on regular mounts via Pathfinder or similar achievement, I would understand complaints. But they haven't said one way or the other whether that will happen.
Glorified version of pocopoc? :)
Looks like all those years I spent playing FSX might actually come in handy now!
