wait so they got blessing of salvation, better auras than paladins, better absorbs than disc priests, and better teleports than warlocksthis will be interesting, that's for sure
I think the excuse of "near impossible to calculate" is bull.Like a swing timer change or casting speed change from haste means they are going to do x% more swings or casts (if that is all they were doing) and that percentage can be calculated, rounded down to individual swings/casts, withdrawn from the receiver and added to the origins output. And all this data is known, hell even future data is known - Blizz can calculate an attacks damage with and without a buff at the same time.Meters in the future will be about individual actions rather than the actions of others that effect a player. I expect Bloodlust's value to be soon subtracted from individual results, divided by each player able to cast Bloodlust and added to their totals for both damage and healing.
Having played MMOs where there was a Holy Foursome, not a Holy Trinity, this is a slippery slope to some bad times. The population of people who want to play a support class will be drawn largely from healers and will make finding healers even harder and, in dungeons, remove a slot currently occupied by DPS, who will still have a similar population of players.Basically, the only people who win here will be the healers who moved over to playing an Augmentation Evokers.
All I want to know is if this spec will be viable for solo content or is it purely group.
For you who hate building a group because you're a DPS and cant find a group. This is going to make this even worse. If these are efficient its going to be 1 Tank, 1 Healer, 1 Augmentator, and only 2 DPS per 5 man.The people most likely to play style of gameplay are already playing tanks and healers, so you're going to stretch the number of "support" players even further.I hope this spec sucks so much that it's not worth bringing to a group. Maybe they'll make them 6-mans instead and you'll have a support role (with many classes gaining a support spec)? Sounds like it's just going to increase the healer/tank/dps ratio though.
Franks gna be upset wen he has to play Aug in raid for the wyrnstones
Coming from the perspective of someone who played tanks in the past, got people killed when tried to heal, and is terrible at sustaining high DPS numbers on a long term - Evoker feels right. Having the ability to help the group while doing what I can to DPS, but enabling the people who care for that more than me, to race for those numbers is that sweet spot for me, as the major DPS players have their sweet spot at being number 1 on the DPS chars. Let Aug happen, and if healers feel threatened - boost the DMG of creatures in dungeons, so that a tank can't survive on absorbs and selfheals alone, and make healers a must on the m+ scene. I hate that wow turned into an individual performance fiesta led by the world first raiders. What Retail needs is the option to have a teamplay gameplay. If people haven't noticed right now Classic HC is more played than Dragonflight and in part it is because your team role and performance has more merit over your big D-ps. On a personal level: My favorite D&D class has always been bard, and now it is coming to life. Hope to see it on live soon.
Sooooo a dps spec with lots of support skills that rely on teammates dmg to get anything done. Sounds exactly like rogue in df.
