Yeah, well, whatever. The quicker Alliance does mass exodus to Horde, the faster we can get rid of this outdated faction system.
I love the faction system, and love being Alliance. But its hurting the game for a huge portion of the community, which causes more and more people to go to the horde.Blizzard messed up the faction balance long ago and it's never recovered.
Blizzard doesnt do this: Blizzard is just trying to milk people for faction change money!Blizzard does do this: HORDE FAVORITISM!
Hahaha I know of a certain Russian guild who will not approve of this hahaha
In a perfect world you'd have an even split of races across the board. Some players have advantages in some places because of their racials, some have advantages in other places. That would be the ideal, perfect world where everything would be nice. Problem is that this isn't an ideal world. Blizzard can't just design every fight in every raid so that every race's racials are useful somewhere in the raid. That would make raid design more like a puzzle of "where do we put the bleed effect for the dwarves" instead of actually something trying to be thematically coherent. Unfortunately the side effect of this is that occasionally one race is going to rise above the others as the best one for that raid and because players care more about performance than the ideal game, they will go and stack that race. Sometimes stacking that race ends up being ludicurously more powerful than it should be like in this case, or like how it was with Jaina and a nerf is necessary. Sometimes the nerf just doesn't come in in time. This time it did.The goal of this change is extremely simple. What Blizzard would want is that players play the character they want to play. This includes the spec, the class, the race and every other choice the character has made. In order to achieve this goal there's two options. Either remove/change things that make players feel excessive inclined to change the character to be something other than what they'd want to play because of performance, or just make the change impossible or difficult, forcing the player to think with their preferences in mind rather than performance. This is why Covenants are what they are. They want you to choose based on what you think fits your character, not based on performance. Because that's what RPGs are all about.
God forbid Alliance actually be useful. They should have made Alliance OP for the whole of SL to make it balanced again
Sounds like a good chance.Kids are gonna be outraged, because they always have to be outraged at every little thing. But not allowing racials, or utility covenant abilities, to ignore or trivialize raid mechanics is the way to go.
Unpopular opinion time (or is it?): I think all kinds of immunities should be gutted in raiding. They're too strong, trivialize encounters too often and it's not right. They should just be strong personal defensive cooldowns and the vast majority of raid boss mechanics obviously intended to be dealt without them should simply ignore them.Example: You should have never been able to immune the chains of Argus (yes they nerfed that cheesing eventually) or solo soaked the stuff in the Fallen Avatar and Kil'Jaeden fights. And there are so many more examples, where it's just too damn strong and unfair to just not have to deal with a mechanic in the first place.
Horde peeps you really cant see/understand the difference here? many of you are saying that Jaina was nerfed or something similar, but that nerfe came after the 1st week of raiding, how is that the same thing as a nerf coming more than a month before the raid? furthermore since most of the top guilds are Horde they have way more data about horde racials but somehow those advantages still made into live and were only changed after the community outcry.this happens time and time again for horde and sometimes they don't even nerf the damn thing, you can't with a straight face say its not weird af regardless if you agree with the change or not.
lul Hi Maizou
It's so funny to se how hordish blame this nerf was necessary to prevent faction imbalance, but negate that their advantages during past (7-10years) made the imbalance even stronger moving a lot of player from Ally to Horde!I mean.. do you read what you write? The imbalance between horde and Alliance is clear! And it's not cause horde has better PR -.-'Don't be silly and start being objective! This kind of imbalance doesn't ruin only Alliance experience, but all the WoW community! DAMN!
I’ve never took any notice of this faction bias. But now I’m curious. What advantages has the horde have. Could someone tell me please, our point me in the right direction of articles about this please ? Cheers in advance.
