I would like to see a campaign where we help Nozdormu deal with corruption, do he would not turn into Murozond. I really like this character but we've got not much of his story
What is the story here tho? what they should protect azeroth from? The Jailer literally was sucking the life power of the planet, and they did ^&*! what can be more threatening than that? Or whats the story here
If the infinite dragonflight isn't involved somehow I'll unsub. :)
I think the 2 most realistic choices with the wording in how they present it is either Old Gods or Elemental Lords. With that being said, I find it difficult to believe that Wrathion will stay a "good guy" through the entire expansion, and would not be surprised if he either succumbs to the dark side, the old gods or some power trip. He could also easily try to "save" the dragonflights by experimenting just like his father, and through this become a bad guy.I also think, however, that we will have some Nozdormu/Murozond time travel stuff, especially since Lhadgar is confirmed part of the storytelling.
My guess is it's going to be some kind of timey wimey with Murozond where we have his present self and future self battling in the raid and we help the current one defeat the future one.
The king of ducks, will be the real endboss of the dragonflight expansion
We'll definitely see the creation of the infinite dragonflight, but I don't think moruzond will be the big bad.something has to push the infinite dragonflight to be created, to push nozdormu to believe he shouldn't die yet. There has to be a bigger threat he believes he needs to be around to stop. With nozdormus current characterization I just don't see him going "you know what, I think I'd rather just turn evil instead of dying right now".
Galakronds bones were removed in 9.2.5 Ion made it a point to bring that up it'll probably be him at keast for a while
Azshara is still out there...People forgetting the real OG villain.
Number of times an old god came back from the dead: 0Number of times a Nathrezim did: dozens they we’ve seen Let’s not even make baseless comparisons. There’s only been one instance of an old god almost being resurrected and that’s possibly non canon as it’s from the comic.
Galakrond obviously. He's the reason for the Dragonflights creation in the first place, more than likely stronger than Deathchin and definitely stronger than Chromatus (Chromatus himself made taunts saying Deathwing was stronger)Makes perfect sense to have an expansion about the aspects combining their powers for the greater good (which they already did before to defeat Galakrond)Only thing is how did he come back considering he was just an overgrown skeleton and even the scourge who were pretty good as undeath were struggling to bring him back.
The 4chan leak that got everything else right says it's Murozond for big bad, and we know how he turns, so it's really a question of how does the void do that, with or without old god. Thinking about characters in the wind who have known void connections we have numerous ones who may tie in-Azshara? Wrathion? Sinestra? Ebonhorn? Netherwings? Other leftovers in Outland, Grim Batol? It also might be some revelation or truth learned about the void that turns Murozond, eg what if proto drakes were the result of elementals + curse of flesh, and the titan blessing was just a way to re-order them, or some other "gotcha" plot twists. Suppose we'll have to wait and see, but the infinite dragonflight is definitely a compelling villain faction, even if they're a little bit "comic book" feeling (which means timey wimey retcon stuff is possible)
Oh yes a Cavers of Time: Galakrond fight would be amazing :D
Bet you it's that black dragon kid that Anduin gave the Pewee Herman punch to
Will people stop assuming the Old Gods are actually dead dead.Unless they did a massive retcon, they can only truly be destroyed on their own plane of existence. What we've fought have been nothing more than manifestations.
If we encounter Galakrond, it should be in CoT, probably as a raid or something considering his lore. Bringing him back is stupid when we can focus on either current threats or ones that seemed dead but can be reasonably expected to be alive somehow. Azeroth is apparently free of Old Gods according to Magni (so what was the deal with the Yogg stuff in Legion?), so maybe they returned to the Void to reconstitute like demons in the Nether (don't know if it's the case, and it's too late to research lore for me). Void lords doing their thing to influence Nozdormu could be possible, just don't have it be rushed. The twilight dragons could always come in near the end of the expansion if a Void one is next. I'm not sure I'd want them to be the full focus of DF.
