I, Khetum, as a paladin, placed in a holy wheelchair since the end of Legion and the loss of my zoom zoom legendaries, welcome with great honour this new mighty Deaf Knight. Pun intended.PS: more seriously, diversity is never a bad thing if done that way. It's pushed towards you thru this article for sure, but if it wasn't and I just discovered it yourself you'd be "ok cool, this clan master has an interpretor coz she's a silent assassin" and you'd go on with your life. So I suggest you do just that.
I think some people are pissed because they want to play a game and a fantasy one at that and not see a reflection of the world around them, right now Azeroth is starting to look more like the ideology of the devs/twitter crowd than a fantasy game.Personally as long as it isn't shoved in my face at every opportunity I'm not too bothered
Nice!
Half wish it wasn't a hunter character that was given the trait - Jim Corbett had ONE of his ears messed up by soneone discharging a rifle too close to his ear and he said it was one of the most damaging things he ever had happen to him, his ability to hear bird / monkey calls to track a tigers movement was his most useful skill and the deafening of one ear made him unable to gauge distance and direction properly.I suppose it's in the same vein as the old blind swordsman trope, but I always find representation of disabilities feel a bit more genuine if it's not being made out to be some sort of superpower by making the person almost magical in how little it effects them.
Surprised it's taken them this long to start representing physical disabilities instead of only ever gender identities. It's one of the big issues I have with so called representation in media, that nearly no-one gives a &*!@ about people with disabilities being represented. So it's good to see this.
Being upset about a character being deaf in WoW is a cruel thing to do, and doing so makes people more evil than their claimed target.
ROFL! Of course they have š¤£
I just wish they would make the game better than adding this stuff, its probably neat the first time you stumble upon this but it doesnt really matter no ones gonna care past the first interaction.
I wish Blizzard put the same effort into actual gameplay as they do with this kind of stuff.
I really doubt a deaf soldier would survive long considering how hearing is a vital sense for survival... especially as a leader. But whatever, I guess they really have to make bull^&*! up now
