my scroll wheel feels abused.
LMAOThey really gave one of the most utility-stacked classes in the game mass grip before they gave it back to Frost and Unholy DKs.
No monk changes ;-;
frost dk has literally barely changed since alpha's first build, this is so disappointing
I appreciate blizz trying out different ideas to give spriest a strong dps cool down without voidform. I am not a fan of it being locked behind mindflay/mindsear casts.
Where the #$%^ is the ret rework? The spec is in complete shambles, with zero interesting talents. Seriously blizzard, let's see some changes for the literal worst class/spec trees.More and more it looks like DF is gonna be DOA. Yall said you were listening, but your not.
I hope the slam modifiers don't make it the correct button to press for optimal damage. I really don't want to be pressing slam as fury.
damn, i was hoping for dark apothesis or gladiator stance back.
Interesting to see for Arms that "and Cleave" keeps getting added as modifiers. The problem is that it's still not accounting for the #1 reason we're using multiple bleeds with Thunderclap/Blood and Thunder, the insane rage regeneration. Even though Cleave is looking stacked these days, what good is it even with AoE Fatality stacking, Merciless Bonegrinder access and potential resets on Battlelord/Exhilarating Blow/Sharpened Blades dmg if we don't have the rage to use it. Especially when there's no cooldown on Execute and we have to spend more rage for MS resets and Thunderclap bleed re-application.Fury got some nice buffs. All warrior trees got tossed around a lot. Ton more theorycrafting needed, lol. Looks like Arms would have to sacrifice too much for Cleave to spread Deep Wounds and Thunderclap to spread Rend while still getting bleed talents for massive rage gen.All-in-all, curious to see where it all goes.
Is it just me or are the Enhance changes with moving talents around making it worse to create a build? Sure, Swirling Maelstrom is now directly connected to Hailstorm/Fire Nova (which is a good change) but we still have some issues.1) Stormstrike buffing talents are still all over the place; especially Stormflurry feels like its on the wrong side of the tree. It should switch places with Sundering, and Windfury Totem should connect straight downward. Windfury also seems underwhelming, and having to take Sundering to pick up Storm's Wrath if you aren't going into Doom Winds feels wrong since it is an AoE spell blocking off one of the two main Single target choices to pick up. 2) Feral Lunge isn't really any better that far down in the tree, especially since it is one of three talents taken before Ascendance. Crashing Storms is the AoE choice, Lasing Flames works well in about every situation (but is better when tab targeting in AoE), while Feral Lunge is not a direct throughput increase... meaning Feral Lunge does not compete and we will avoid it. I think it should be moved to the class tree underneath Flurry and Focused Insight should no longer be connected to Flurry. It seems like they are trying to force us to take Feral Lunge in a single target physical damage build because of the extra point added to Hot Hand and not having enough points left in the bottom, buuuut...3) Hot Hands is still really strong and every build would ideally take it, and builds that don't seem less than ideal. Even with an extra point the value this adds is huge, and absent a situation of a build with far too many procs to press and losing damage I don't see why you wouldn't take it if you could, and in such a situation I don't know why you wouldn't drop something else to pick it up. We really should consolidate many of the Stormstrike talents and make a choice node between extra Stormstrike procs (with buffing talents baked in) and Hot Hands. One or the other; your choice. If you make this change and force us to choose this cleans up the Stormstrike buffing talents, we can put them all close to each other, doesn't make Hot Hand mandatory, AND goes a long way to reducing the RNG of the spec. Having a proc and some RNG is fine (that's how the spec works right now), but we are looking at builds where you take both and get more procs due to the nice mastery changes and supporting talents. Moving even harder into RNG isn't the right direction; there is a clear limit and too much variation in output makes balancing difficult. 4) Crashing Storms is in an odd place since it links two of the three 21 point options, is only useful in an AoE build, and can be taken without Crash Lightning which greatly lowers the value you get for that point. A talent like Elemental Weapons is "neutral" in single target vs. AoE builds so is appropriate to link to the bottom portion of the tree, but Crashing Storms is not and should be moved. Feral Lunge won't be taken unless forced to since it is not throughput. This is a small part of why going into Hot Hands is mandatory, so this would be nice to see change. 5) Too much at the top of the tree that is really good. 8 of the 12 points feel mandatory and it wouldn't be a problem to come back later to pick up certain things like Ice Strike if we weren't already in a situation where you feel starved for points down at the bottom. Going down the left side to get Doom Winds is only good for single target, while the Hailstorm/Ice Strike talents are better with more targets but still work decently in single target. The flexibility and Hailstorm blocking off Hot Hands means that is ALWAYS the right choice, AND it kills Fire Nova as a talent in the process in just about any build. Elemental Spirits doubles down on this as it prefers picking up the ice spells and Hot Hands to hedge your bets on its RNG. 6) Elemental Spirits has a few problems still. It adds an additional layer of RNG on an RNG heavy spec (making the highs higher and the lows lower), and it buffing YOUR damage of a certain spell school randomly chosen forces it to be run with a particular build. If we just had the WOLVES do a set amount of X school spell damage it removes ALL RNG of the talent and huge variation in output from pressing the button, and it doesn't force a specific build to support it meaning more options for players. 7) Most builds I see are doing things like taking 1/2 Legacy of the Frost Which and 1/2 Elemental Assault which just seems odd. Having Stormstrike generate Maelstrom (even a 50% chance) stacks well with Witch Doctor's Wolf Bones and having another way to reset its CD also synergizes well with this. The problem is practically every build wants to do this and instead of a choice we are seeing 1/2 across the board. Even with the nerfs/changes to these talents I think this will stay the same. If you don't force a choice between Stormstrike procs/supporting talents and Hot Hand higher up the tree, lowering the points needed for EA and LotFW and making filling these out as a choice between Hot Hand is another option (and moving Hot Hands down below the 20 point mark is another way to balance it since its so strong). Either way if you are running a Stormstrike build you REALLY want to fill these out, and Hot Hand makes it a Lava Lash heavy build. 8) Molten Assault spreading Flame Shock to 4 targets. If we were to just up this by one to spreading to 5 targets, we would hit the 6 target cap of Flame Shock and this solves a lot of issues. First, it means Primordial Wave feels slightly less mandatory in certain builds and makes Thorim's Invocation far more desirable as a choice to build around. Second it makes Primordial Wave MUCH smoother to use; you use it to put up the initial Flame Shock, spread them with Lava Lash, and then hit Lightning Bolt. So much cleaner that way. Lastly, it is an indirect buff to Fire Nova which really needs some help since there isn't a build where you would currently take it. 9) Fire Nova not really an option. Hailstorm/Ice Strike requires an extra point but has really great synergy and flexibility in that it is still a decent option for single target. Right now there is no reason to take Fire Nova over it in any build. Maybe we can bake in the Doom Vortex talent from Legion, where your next Lava Lash summons a Fire Tornado. Maybe we need some sort of synergy where it is the option you take in a Hot Hand build. Maybe an additional talent is added that creates new synergy to buff its damage and give it some use in single target like Ice Strike does for Hailstorm. The "fire vs. ice" choice is a nice one and I'd like to see both options viable.
