Don't even need to watch. Dinar system feels good.
Dinar, uncapped valor, and the raid upgrade tokens have been easily the best improvement to loot in YEARS.
Would love to see it return. Would be a great way for M+ to finally access those must have trinkets/weps.
Maybe they could stop making insane cantrip weapons that make all other weapons a stopgap at best
I understand blizz getting scared at people getting CE faster than before, but it really makes this game more fun.And it also pushes people to play more alts.
As a M+ only player I do feel left out of the 'best' loot and for this reason I end up doing LFR just to get the 30 fated bosses and the 'best' weapon/trinket for my spec. This is not a good way to do gear, Raids should not be the only way to get the best gear, doing other leading edge content should provide equivalent gear ilvl at least and also gear that is as good as the Raid stuff.
Now maybe I feel this way because I'm not a cutting edge grinder, but I feel uncapped valor actually puts LESS pressure on people to grind dungeons, since there isn't a time gated cap you have to fill each week to get the maximum return. Now of course there will always be crazy minmaxers, so the system should be designed to account for them- while not catering exclusively to them.Maybe institute a valor cap for each main season until, say, either the world first Mythic raid clear, or maybe a set number of week(s) after that? Then unlimited for the rest of the season, with a reset for the next tier/season. That way, meeting the weekly valor cap would only be the priority of world first players, while those who are slower/more casual can know that they will still have some time with uncapped valor to grind for Ahead of the Curve/Cutting Edge raid achievements. Such a system would limit the amount of grinding needed for the world first crowd, while also not hampering the more casual raiders who like to grind content to overcome raid difficulties with gearing.
Dinars and uncapped valor is easily the best improvements to the game in modern wow.Only thing left to fix, is how to make comparable ilvl of gear obtainable thru m+, without trivializing raiding.
Dinar system is meh, not the biggest fan of how it feels. Maybe it's fine for this shorter season but in a regular season it would only make sense if it activated towards the end of the patch. Mythic and heroic upgrade items are pretty good and hopefully they keep those. They are similar to titanforging in a good way. Uncapped valor is absolute trash, hopefully that never happens again.
Dinars are a great thing, honestly. Especially for things that are so niche in terms of getting them. Like the Priest Ring from Anduin. Only a Priest can even get that ring, so if you are the only Priest in the raid, chances are extremely high that you will never have that ring drop at all. So having a chance to get that item another way is just great.Although I completely agree with others saying, that items should be brought more in line with others. Like Gavel is just a straight up 1-2k dps increase compared to any other weapon of the same itemlevel (not counting Jaithys, because that one is a bit weird). And that feels so wrong.
The simplest change they can make going forward is to cap valor spending instead of earning. If they want to stop people from upgrading all their gear to max on week 1, fine. But it makes me want to quit playing for the week when I hit the cap because it feels like I’m wasting time doing dungeons when all the potential valor would be lost.
- Let even m+ loot table in the dinar shop- add doing m+15 an alternative for 10 raid boss a week for the 30 stack (cap 10 m+ for week)- add the 20 boss kill token as a 20 m+ done in +10(normal) / +15(hc) / +20(m) to let ppl upgrade (cap 10 m+ for week)
The only real negative from uncapped valor that I heard of was the ilvl requirements for groups getting insane really early on. But I don't really pug, so it's only second hand knowledge. IMO more stuff should be uncapped. I used to believe in the time gates and %^&*, but now I think if someone wants to farm for 40 hours straight for higher ilvl, risking passing out from exhaustion or burning themselves out, that's their prerogative.
Dinars and heroic/mythic upgrade tokens are great.Adding some items from the M+ pool to the vendors could be cool as well. However I don't think you should be able to buy an item from a boss you haven't killed at least once, especially raid bosses, no matter the difficulty.Uncapped valor is great for many reasons, it also has downsides when it comes to heroic and mythic raid progression, as it renders most if not any heroic raid loot useless.I think a cap early in a season is ok, and it could be a higher cap than the current 750 one. But then you could remove it fairly quickly, something like week 4.Or, if you completely remove the valor cap, then it makes more sense for OP pieces of gear like weapons and trinkets to exist in the raids. So that you still want to do heroic raid for those specific items.
"What are you getting for Dinar?" omg
