Thank god. They ARE listening, they ARE fixing things ahead of season launch, maybe now the doomers can stop wailing and gnashing their teeth on every available internet platform! That's probably too much to ask though. Great job Blizzard! I'm happy everyone is enjoying their post campaign experience but at least for me and my friends we finished the campaign and are waiting for season 1 to dive in, feels kind of pointless to us to keep grinding when Season One is right around the corner with all of its endgame content. Can't wait! Especially since I'm not done grinding DF 10.1 content, lmao!
I've tested it myself and I'm confident that XP rewards in nightmare dungeons are still very bad.In my test run I got around 15% of XP to level at level 81 and it took me about 8 minutes to complete a dungeon, which resulted in around 223k XP per minute. Unless they further increase XP gains by doubling that number, it's still very very bad and slow leveling...
A nightmare dungeon drops sacred and ancestral gear at a higher rate. You're also getting xp on those glyphs. You're farming while you're farming in nightmare dungeons. If you don't need loot or glyph xp then yes I guess only consider the xp per time. Meanwhile I'm going to enjoy the changes they gave us and farm while I farm. You can also target mobs types in specific dungeons to hope for specific unique gear.
I mean. I'll try to take the wise stance on this. What matters to me (and I'm probably alone in this) isn't the xp, the raw number or the time it takes. What matters is ... wait for it ... is ? it ? fun ? They could make it so it takes literally 1 million hours to get to 100. Big whoop if it feels awesome. I don't care.
Carried a level 22 in a tier 44 and they gained 17 levels. Seems like a pretty massive boost to me,Edit: Should note that running 40s for my level range doesn't feel much different than running 20s or 30s, as I kill everything so quickly anyway.
That bullet point list is incredibly confusing to read. Not clear if numbers are comparing before or after, wording is ambiguous, and the points don't feel like they flow cohesively from one finding leading to another.Maybe I'm just an idiot, but I still don't feel like I fully understand after rereading multiple times.
W change, but make it a tiny bit more because normal dungeons are still probably better if you do them optimally. It shouldn't be close. Buff it another 100% OR buff the scaling so if you're doing say +10 on your level you're just getting chunks of XP.
These are great changes. Much needed. They've still got a long way to go. The dungeon objectives, and loot scaling need a MAJOR rework. Doing a NM 50 and getting some low tier sacred item as the final reward is just disheartening. The rewards should be relative to the dungeon level. Good start. Long way to go.
They would have saved so much headache both for themselves and us if they had just given a concrete number for the increases rather than just saying “significant.” What does “significant” mean? Is it 20%, 50%, 100%? It can obviously mean different things to different people. At the end of the day I guess it doesn’t really matter as long as leveling from 50 to 100 doesn’t take a month if you’re doing the intended content and not exploiting. There should also be some parity between character xp and glyph xp in the sense that you should be able to fully upgrade 4-5 glyphs with the same number of NMD runs as it would take you to hit max level. And I am not at all certain that is currently the case.
Solo players got the short end of the stick as usual.
