The fact this isn't a normal pet is kinda stupid, to be honest. But anyway, it seems (and I've tested this so far) that you CANNOT go to just any city's graveyard to get the quest. It has to be your HOME city. So basically, it's tied to your RACE. I went to Stormwind, and nothing. Hearthed and traveled to the Exodar, and there was the quest. Tested on two other races, and can confirm.
seems you need to go to ur races main city. I couldn't get quest on my draenei in SW had to go to Exodar.
Stupid question:Where is the Thunder Bluff graveyard?
I got Macabre Marionette and then logged out and when I logged back in a few min later the Macabre Marionette and the rest of the Bread of the Dead was no longer in my bags and I couldn't get another Macabre Marionette. Other than getting gold for the quest this entire thing sucks!
I wouldn't say it sucks.I'm at 159/160 recipes, and this one will be the one that tops me over into achievement land.I like those 10 points.

Fortunately, the little marionette guy doesn't dance with you if you /dance with him, otherwise i would have been all the more gutted to see him go : /Very nice little event all in all, a new recipe for my collection, at least a little souvenir with the bouquet, and as usual great flavour text from the npc's.Edit : i even enjoyed the skull candy and the little candle, yeah i'm easy to please i guess.
Both the Magic Broom and this new pet, could be 2 day /2 week pet/mount, if they allowed us to keep them and made them count towards Pet/Mount count Id be fine with only haveing them as seasonal. But otherwise, thats just dumb to even do the quest for the pet, they should of just sold it for 2c or something.
If you log out or do ANYTHING that causes a load screen, EVERY item from this event (including the pet) will vanish from you inventory. Get you achievement points from the event... just skip everything else (for now), its not worth the hassle.(Wondering if the bread turn in counts towards "Seeker" and "Loremaster" titles tho.)
Article was really on a downer wasnt it?
