The expansion barely feels like it got moving, and now its ending already? What a disappointment, this is such an insane waste its unbelievable, the entire plot just got thrown out the window, how can this company find ways to fumble the bag every single time, this expansion was literally handed in a silver plate, dragons, one of the oldest and more core concepts in wow, they have a ton of pre-estabilished lore around them plus dragon isles being a concept that was always brought up in conversations about possible locations for future expansions, that with the incarnates and primalist threat should've resulted in a incredible easy but cool expansion to develop. Every patch would be about dealing with one of the incarnates, or make a big patch dealing with two of them and leave another major patch to handle some other dragon related thing, maybe the Infinites, or that Chromalus guy which is supposed to be really strong and dangerous and is just lying inanimate somewhere, does it sound a bit too simple or cookie cutter? maybe, but after the clown show that was Shadowlands attemp at making big galaxy brain lore, dragonflight could've been a good way to clean the slate, go back to some of the game roots and prepare the ground for some more complex narrative in future expansions. The current narrative of the game feels soo disconnected and out of place
This expansion shows, that even if they make some very good changes in gameplay, it's not enough to keep playerbase. Less players than in hated SL means something is wrong with this game and in my opinion it's two things: bad general design (for example very unfriendly endgame for new or returning players with too many chaotic quests, gearing and more. I returned for 10.1.7 and was horrified by quest tags in Valdrakken and on the map, I also needed WoW wiki to learn how I should start gearing becouse many ways was outdated, like elemental storms). I must say it loud, every time i returned to WoW I feel so overwhelmed so I can imagine that new players feels even more. There are also still problem with FOMO. I appriciate, that many FOMO things was removed from game (like they stoped removing some quests or many items are obtainable again) but I still feel like I wasting something when I don't play regular. For example, as returned player I was unable to try first DF raid in new patch, just for story. I was waiting about 2 hours for LFR group several times and it didn't work. I supose I must wait for fated raids in last season. Also we could see, that new talent tree was just in beta state. Through whole expansion, many classes recives reworks or big changes becouse talents didn't work like they suposed to. There is also too much of everything! Too much non-important quests, too much stupid side quests, World Quests, Weekly, Daily, Dungeon Quests, Crafting Quests, Many similar events in world! Where simplicity is gone? Blizz should remove most of this trash activities we don't need in nex exp. World Quests are so boring and uneccessary these days. Events like centaur hunting grounds are much more fun and transparent. Remove most side quests. They are just pain in the ass when you level new chars and want clear maps. They do nothing to gameplay, even less for story (with some exceptions), most of they are boring and bad designed.I have many more to say what wrong about WoW. And sorry for my English, I hope overall you understand what I want to say.
Well, it's been a terrible expansion boys. Hopefully the next ones better... Lmao as if, this games never going anywhere but down, they need to fire everybody if they want to make a half decent game.
I was so certain that we would get another raid from a story perspective. 10.0 dealt with the blue dragonflight, 10.1 dealt with the black dragonflight, 10.1.5 dealt with the bronze and now 10.2 is green. This leaves the red dragonflight in a weird position. I truely expected there would be a 10.2.5 for red and a 10.3 to fully unite the flights against a final something. But they just keep dropping more and more hints about this being the final patch and raid. Truely sad to end the story so fast with so few raid bosses. Especially with the next raid being small in terms of total bosses. Only 9 doesn't feel that grand for a final raid.
good.
Increase price of expansion, reduce the amount of content.*Taps Forehead*
Wasn't there a Perma-Rune during Tomb of Sargeras and we still got 3rd raid out of it? This could just be added in to curb gold inflation... especially since the token reached 400k in price with all the people buying it up.
while DF was a relieve after the almost (user) hostile SL, it still lacks the staying power of Legion, MoP and also some of BFAs content features. DF feels more like a recreative intermezzo in between the cosmic conflicts of "principles", a walk in the park for some fresh air, while preparing for the (next) ultimate challenge on the horizon (there still r some almost confirmed).although there could be an Iridikon finale 10.3, or at least a fated content recycling, probably a sooner exit would benefit the playerbase and therefore the franchises evolution, cuz "great is the enemy of good"* and already some 10.2 changes indicate a reversal on the "achievements" (accessiblity, replayability, user agenda etc) of WoWs heralded 3. era...*if greatness is not aspired, than even goodness will soon stagnate into mediocrity or worse.
Well dang, no point in doing call to arms to sell runes then. Oh well it was nice while it lasted.
