Surprises me that 6% of people on Wowhead who have used the profiler haven't been to DMF
As we approach the end of a given patch, Darkmoon is a wonderful time to brush off alts and do something different. I have really enjoyed the races, even if I kinda suck at them.Yeah Silas!
I was there once, but never really had the desire to go to the DMF. Propably for other people it's the same, the games there aren't anything I enjoy. Perhaps my completionist gene will drive me to get all the toys/pets there in a couple of months, though.
Me cave man. Me like pretty charts. Ooh. Aah. Per-dee. Ugh ugh-ugh. Cool! Way so.
Time to try to get more eye and squid pets.
And here I am like a schmuck looking up videos to try and learn how to get the damn races done.
I have tested on characters of all level brackets from 1-100 multiple times each....so far it seems that Lunk only shows up on the Darkmoon Seesaw when you put out the toy on a level 100 character. Which seems strange because he is a level 47 npc. I don't know if it's like this for everyone, but other people in my guild have noticed the same. Just thought I would mention it.
How come only 33% of users have completed Brood of Alysrazor and yet 57% have the toy that is the reward for it (the Blazing Wings? Something is off...
Toys are not tracked on Battle.net and requires several additional steps on Wowhead to track. These users are more interested in toys than the average playerbase since they're specifically going out of their way to track them, so it explains why the numbers are higher.I'll add a note that we get toy data a different way, thanks!
Funny how nothing is mentioned about the pvp event All the cheating that took place#Sell out much wowhead?
I wish the very low level of success on all of the races would lead to some fixes to make them easier to get without memorizing and perfectly executing a route from a Youtube video. That content does not appear to be a success as it is now.
Damoooo, a you talking about the people-who-show-up-with-a-group-of-friends-and-work-together.exe hack?
What cheating? I got the PvP achievement and I never saw any cheating. I saw a lot of funny/cheap things done, but no actual cheating.I did a few cheap things myself, like start clicking the gate a little bit before the time I knew you should start to trick other people into starting, then i stopped and restarted. They would port in, they would be ported out for the start of the event, I'd port in and just walk up to the chest and loot. I used noggenfogger and cat form and drop toys near the chest so people would have a hard time clicking me to interrupt. I'd stay stealthed until two people remained and then loot the chest while they duked it out. I'd have a friend drop a rogue smoke bomb on me on the chest and sap/stun people for me. All's fair in PvP! Oh also sometimes if you show up at odd hours no one else is there at all. I've won on low level alts that way.The only time someone got ME really good was by joining my group saying they would help me and then they looted it and I couldn't stop them because they were in my party and I was too slow to kick them.
I love the charts you guys have been adding over the past couple of months, Wowhead. A couple of suggestions:* Tooltips and links to the Wowhead page on each line for the toy/pet/achievement/whatever in question. * While the tooltips show the completion of your pinned character, colouring the bar would make it really stand out. Related to the latter, since you've introduced charts one thing I've really been hoping for is a personalized chart of the rarest things I've done. That is, the top 25 rarest pets I have, the top 25 rarest achievements, etc. Any chance of that making its way to the site? Maybe even things like which percentile for something like total number of followers. Thanks for all the work you guys do at Wowhead!
I'm not a big fan of PvP (check my profile for the category where I have the fewest achievements) but even I have to say all the things that Lucidic mentioned sound legit, and not cheating. It's clever to use all of the tools you have at your disposal.
Yep - not cheating. Sneaky underhanded conniving treacherous and all around horrible but not cheating. You sir / madam are the apex of what it is to be a goblin.
