Unfortunate to see, based on the talent tooltips, Aimed shot will continue having a cooldown. Makes MM so clunky and rigid when your main ability has a cooldown and charges. Really hope it's just a mistype and they're changing Aimed Shot in TWW
I feel like hero talents are going to be an experiment to replace the current capstones. This looks like a very cool thematic build for either specs while pushing far beyond the "this is the last spell in the list, this is a capstone".Maybe we'll see a spec specific alternative in the future as well
Fully expect the dmg for it to be trash although the nodes that interact with it are awesome. i'm not so sure about hero talents going all in on one ability and giving them talents, its just artifacts all over again essentially.
it doesn't fit with survivals theme? wasnt black arrow originally a survival talent? lmao
okay but it doesnt fit BM besides being ranged... it completely spits in the face of the whole spec... which is focused around BEASTS. I am so upset by this choice. Like just split hunter into two classes already- one beast focused and the other bow focused because clearly the devs cannot make up their mind on hunter. WOW is ruined.
As survival hunter, I must admit I'm a bit jelous BM/MM getting this talent:
I don't see that the archer's gameplay is going to change. They are simply increases in damage, healing and cds reduction. It is very worrying.
How about this:Black Arrow: Replaces Wailing Arrow. If you already know Wailing Arrow, gain an additional charge.Black Arrow does everything Wailing Arrow does, plus this new DoT mechanic.
I'd like to see an earlier iteration of explosive shot where you launch it and need to press again to detonate it. The further you are away, the more damage it does. This slots in with Marksmanship fantasy as a sniper of precision and our mastery.
I don’t want to be negative, but this tree for BM islands, because most BM hunters love their pets and animals, and this hero tree focuses on necromantic magic and summoning undead beasts - nothing could be further from the look and feel of most BM hunters.I actually agree this would suit MM/Survival more - as others mentioned Nathanos and Sylvanas were both adept melee fighters too, and this would also give a good reason to allow Survival dual wielding.Mechanically speaking the tree looks pretty good though.
Resetting aimed shot CD is utterly useless, if there is no focus and cast time reduction involved.Have it reset rapid fire instead or make it trigger a l'n'l proc with aimed shot, like the original RSurve black arrow did with expl shot.
This feels like they went the easy route for their showcase and I'm disappointed. I'd much rather see what they have cooking for the melee/ranged combos, Pack Master and Sentinel. Show me what may unify survival with the other two specs. The ranged specs were too obvious. And even if it weren't so obvious because we're comparing two ranged specs, we're looking at Dark Ranger, a concept that has been in Warcraft since WCIII and has been explored extensively, even within hunter's pre-existing toolkit. They can run Black Arrow now! They've been able to (as Survival) since... Cata? I forget exactly, but several expansions before Legion anyway. And I remember the Legion variant, where it was MM-only, summoning an undead hound there. None of this feels particularly new or interesting. (Legion MM being Windrunner-flavoured again makes this a further disappointment. We get it, Windrunners are great! >_>)Pack Master might be obvious enough too, but I think there's enough room there for some surprises than "Sylvanas in spec form."
Well this all seems very boring.
