I assume it's a taurens only weapon, looks like 1h mace in the tooltip.
So, now there will be racial weapons also, for each race?
Got it as a Highmountain Tauren both Ancestor's Might and Ancestral Bloodhoof Totem. Am exhalted with all reps, have done heritage armor questline for both Tauren and Highmountain Tauren. Chose to participate in the funeral. If that matters.
I got both the cosmetic cloak and the toy on my regular tauren, so you do get the toy as a tauren.
Does "main hand" apply to players who dual wield like monks? I understand the offhand wouldn't be moggable to this but was curious about the main hand.
Okay, I don't get it. It's a 2H mace, but with a unique condition of only main hand. This exists ONLY to restrict fury warriors from dual-wielding it. Why?As it is, only an arms warrior, retri pally, and blood/uh DKs get to actually USE this weapon mog.Why can't we have this as a 1h mace and a staff, let people go off and have fun. Big deal, warriors and shaman get to swing two big totems around? LET THEM. IT'S LORE FRIENDLY. I'm very disappointed by this, especially since they recently fixed Draenei shield sized and I decided to make my paladin alt a lightforged rather than a tauren.
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMGYES I have been waiting 20 freaking years for totem weapon since the very first time I saw that Vanilla trailer and tauren smashing that bear. GOD ALMIGHTY, finally it's happening. I will never forget the hype I got when I first made tauren warrior and run across Mulgore all jacked, thinking I would wield something like that!
I managed to get the weapon today, 22/03/23, on my Tauren Paladin. I'm exalted with Thunderbluff, renown 17 on Paladin (but max on Hunter, haven't done quest on hunter though). I also chose to participate in the funeral ritual if that changes anything.I am using it as a 2H mace currently.
I just completed this as a Tauren (who's had a few race changes) no heritage armor, no exalted rep with Thunderbluff, and I got both the mace and the back piece.
What let me use this on my resto shaman! ><
Anyone who's played WC3 and WoW, anyone who has loved tauren, for all these long years... we all deserve to t-mog this iconic totem. The fact that only tauren ret paladins, elemental shamans, death knights, druids, and arms warriors can transmog this is a disgrace and Blizzard should change this.As soon as I saw this, I started thinking of the possibilities with survival hunter, fury warrior, rogue, enhance shaman... but nope, can't t-mog it because of reasons. Literally the most iconic weapon for this race but a lot of us can't use it. Gratz, and I am actually happy for those who can, though. Wild that it took this many years to even make it into the hands of (some) players.
Completed this on my warrior but wasn't a taurenIf I race changed over to Tauren, would I be able to get the rewards automatically or am I screwed?
id roll a tauren for the weapon mog
In order to start this quest chain, go to Valdrakken, and talk to Mayla Highmountain, she's located on the central square (51,59) and will give you the quest "A Debt That Must Be Paid" where you should find Baine in the Ohn'ahran Plains.
I can 100% confirm that Highmountain Tauren CAN tmog this back and weapon however it requires lvl 58 to do so.I earned the reward on a regular Tauren druid and unlocked both the back and weapon mogs.
Does this quest reward you with Maruuk rep?
