Assuming that those parts actually sell on AH, and not only get posted with such astronomical prices, then it's, kind of, working fine. Rich people making tons of money from AH get to buy their parts and have their own AH in garrison. Others get to earn load of money by trading those parts to first group. Win/win.
They need to make Ashran parts drop from Ashmaul boxes - they're just too rare and time consuming, to the point where people are paying 80k-120k for the completed module. Even if I had the full thing, I'd take the 120k instead.Nobody I know has it. =[
Anybody that cares enough to build an AH in their garrison should also be smart enough to realize the opportunity cost of sinking these mats into a minor perk. Sell 'em on the AH, folks.
Dear Blizz Dev Team,We, the players of WoW (and those who have to deal with us), think you should have thought this quest through a wee bit more than you obviously did. Ashran for parts? Um, yeah, don't do PvP so that entire module is completely out of my reach. Not happy about this and the fact that you cannot "ignore" that &*^% robot sitting on the front steps of your building. Massive fail guys. Way to go.Sincerely,The Players
The universal language part is extremely ill-thought out one, not only you are forced to go to a PVP area, on top of that it DOES NOT drop off players, so basically what happens is that you PVE in a PVP area not contributing to the team at all.
Really have to agree: The auctioneer is very poorly implemented. Not only are most of the parts extremely rare. The Ashran module alone is almost a guarantee I will never get it working for this add-on's lifetime. Can't say what went wrong here. It's a major oversight for such a minor inconvenience.
On the plus side: all the Ashran nonsense I had to do to try (and ultimately fail) to get a single part of the Universal Language module did get me exalted with Voljin's Spear, which was enough to unlock the level 3 Trading Post schematics.Of course the drawback is that it put me in a PVP zone where farming non-players is not likely since the other side has players that usually just run around those areas looking for non-PVPers to kill them, which made me realize how much I really hate PVP.The Universale Language module, as already pointed out numerous times here alone, is stupid to be Ashran-exclusive. They need to just throw it in raids or dungeons or make it a, ahem, universal drop.
So glad to see that I am not the only one who thinks implementation of this minor function is such a major pita. Far too easy to just hit up a major city for an AH than to justify the ridiculous requirements for something that should have been an integral part of a Level 3 Trading Post to begin with.
"Just queue up for ashran"Well.. you forgot one thing: Bring about 4-8 hours of queue waiting time.As long as queue times are that bad this quest icon will annoy me anytime I log into my garrison :(
To me, the grinding part is not the worst part. If they had made one of the set of parts drop both from raids and pvp, then it'd be fair, not forcing pvpers to raid nor the opposite. What's killing this are the ridiculously high Ashran queues. Of course prices go according to demand and supply, but when you force an item into a ridiculously long queue, it will skyrocket.
I would demolish my trading post if not for 2 reasons: 1.Reputations and 2. I was in need for resources as i didnt build lumber mill (and in the end it proved to be good choice). But when i get my reputations to exalted i will replace it in a blink of an eye, with or without robot being completed.
I've somewhat given up on my trading mechanism. My building is solely there now for Garrison resources, and for the Laughing Skull vendor. I'd be doing Ashran more often, but the queue times are ridiculous.
I have started collecting some of the parts and then I noticed the outrageous prices of language modules. I am an engineer with ports almost everywhere, HS in shrine of two moons (engineer auction and all portals) and a garrison hs. I don't know why I even considered spending the money... I say make it come automatically with level 3 trade post (that way you need to grind "only" 5000 mobs), or do not even bother.
I guess if you have more time on your hands than God then this may be a fun exercise, frankly just set Stormsheild as your secondary Hearthstone & go back & forth to the AH there as often as needed.Really just another example of a complicated & largely pointless quest.
Even if you're into PVP you're still screwed on this! Those Ashran parts are very, very, very rare. I've spent a decent amount of time in Ashran on my main. Like 15k+ bones worth, knocked out Manslayer, almost exalted with with Vol'Jins Spear. I'd have been exalted long ago, but I've only recently gotten good at turning in before getting killed a bunch. I'm there 2-3 times a week for an hour or more each time. That's after waiting the 1-2 hours just for the queue to pop. I always do the side events, indiscriminately killing everything I run across. Stick around til we kill whats-her-name, the Ally Boss. Nothing. Not a single part. Meanwhile I have multiple copies of all the other completed modules just sitting in my bank and half a tab in the guilds vault with dozens of other parts. I can't even recall seeing a part drop for anyone while in a 40 man raid. Even after constantly checking the AH I've only once seen 2 of the 3 parts up there ever and they were 50k each and that was only once. After a couple weeks I just stopped looking, because I'm not paying 150k. I have it, I have way more than that, but on principle I'd never pay it. TL;DR Unless Blizz announces a large increase in the drops for the Ashran parts, don't even bother getting started.
