People whining about the leader and lore and I'm like. "Are they really homogenizing the clans into one thing again after WoD gave each of them much more identity?"
I would have much more preferred the Outland version of Mag'har, but whatever. With the "doorway closed" to AU Draenor we should have put that whole alternate-timeline-but-also-different-dimension-BacktotheFuture2 nonsense behind us. Technically the Mag'har of Outland are also of different clans and easily could have still had those skin tints and it would have made WAY more sense for them to want to leave their dying scrap of a world and join the rest of their people on Azeroth.
Oh, so we are getting mag'har orc not from alternate PAST Draenor, but alternate PRESENT Draenor? I'm a wee bit confused and I have no Idea what to feel about it.
The amount of butthurt about the orcs not being from Outland is kind of hilarious. Look, know WoD sucked but I do remember Blizz saying after WoD the former Iron Horde would become members of the current horde. Originally just as skin color options. But I am glad they're doing something different and cool with it.
Interesting, it makes it seem as though we might only have to do a story quest to unlock them because Eitrigg says ”In saving Draenor from Garrosh and the Burning Legion, this champion has earned the trust of the Orcs there”, essentially meaning we might not have a rep gate for the future allied races, at least for the Mag’har and the Dark Iron Dwarves.Just speculation, but something to think about.
I honestly assume that “past” and “present” Draenor are one in the same. Past Draenor basically “came into existence” to our knowledge when Kairoz and Garrosh traveled there. It is reasonable to assume that, with the worlds linked- and worlds do stay linked even after portals are severed- their times move in Tandem. Otherwise, Archimonde should have sent Gul’dan to Azeroth 35 years ago. But he got sent to the present. The Bronze Dragonflights involvement is probably only because it was originally accessed that way. While they could sent us to the future, I’d assume they’ll send us to where our times match i.e. however long Legion took passed on Draenor. This is so their memory of us is still fresh, but they’d still have time to rebuild. Keep in mind that these orcs aren’t their entire people joining us. Grommash, Durotan have a world to rebuild with the Draenei Exarchs. It makes sense that a minor character instead of a Warlord would come over, as these orcs seem to be the equivalent to a mercenary troop. It’d be stupid to add Alternate Draenei as an Allied Race, but I really would like them to have Y’rel come over. Velens cool but the playable non-lightforged Draenei need a more active face than the more subdued and somewhat neutral Velen. And she’s be the perfect fit.
