"It shines when players are interacting with each other, running in the same world-- it's difficult to combine it with homesteads" - Well, in ESO works it great. Just don't put in it followers, AHs, bankers, etc... and it will be fine.
That was a lot of non-specific circletalk.
If they do make heritage armor sets for the existing races, I sure hope they aren’t gated behind “level a fresh toon to 110/120 with no boosts” like the allied races. Having already maxed out almost all the races, I am not eager to repeat the process. Hopefully they would come up with a way for already maxed toons to acquire such armor. (Maybe something like race-specific questlines like the class-specific questlines in Legion to acquire the class mounts?)
I'm disappointed. When I saw the BFA's videos, I believed that the warfront will be the new house, our own castle, keep or fortress but it not. I hope that in the future we can have our own castle, with knights, siege weapon, and more.
I would have to agree with Ian on freeloaders issue, I stop grouping for most solo quest long time ago just because I don't want work for those lazy $%^&*!@s hovering nearby. Almost every party had 1 or 2 freeloaders in it. I don't mind making party for a quest by myself but kinda wish they have a way to copy quest or NPC name into Title, some of them are annoyingly long or have a weird name. That would speed up the process and won't make me miss LFG addon.
I really don't mind anything else, though I'm pretty sure there are other ways to deal with freeloaders (maybe you have to actually do something in the quest to get credit from a group doing that quest?) but I really, really hope they bring autoaccept back. The loss of that affects so much more than just some world quests.
They have a point, though. I'm not sad about these changes, because of exactly what Ian said.Stop thinking about Blizzard that they just wanna screw out with their players, because they don't. If it's such a tiring thing to complete a quest on your own, then maybe find some other games to play.
I feel like someone should force Ion to experience player housing in FFXIV. You got to know your neighbors and because of the price of the houses they were mostly bought by guilds. So each house often represented a whole guild and their ideals and it was fun to walk around the block and talk to others. My raiding guild had a huge crafting guild next door and they would often make stuff for us if we asked.
Someone has already made an addon to add auto accept back, it's called premade auto accept. Been using it for a couple days now and it works just fine. You can specify what role you can allow to auto accept or just let everyone auto accept. So there's that.
If players can use mechanics to just freeloaders and not do any work on quests, then I agree with it being removed.I personally never used it, but I can see why they removed it. Just because some people didn't see it happen to them doesn't mean it didn't. We don't see the full data like Blizzard does so it could have been a much larger problem then we realize. If it is possible for get something for no work, people will do it. Happens in real life all the time.
As for them saying that they don't want players to have housing cuz they would rather have them out in the world interacting, how about Guild Housing then? You'd be interacting with other people so how about giving us that?
"As the result, we get a freeloaders which can get closer, float in the air on mount and group will get the credit for them."I think it's great that they are paying attention to try and eliminate freeloaders even after I thought that this was the type of demographic that Blizzard wanted to cater to. While we are at it, please remember that we have an entire raid format dedicated to freeloaders known as LFR and soon enough, Warfronts (since you cannot lose and are guaranteed a win, I am sure that people will be fulfilling their duties). /end sarcasm.Let's face it. The average player of current WoW does not want to have to work to get rewards (as encouraged by the game design) and the sooner they understand this reality, the sooner they can move on
I, for one, will be less social without LFG addons to make the process of finding other people to play with easier. If I do decide I liked making groups for non-Blizzard approved questing reasons, I certainly won't be asking in chat for help; I'm not going to spend time futilely spamming people in chat who may not be interested or even paying attention when there's a tool that will specifically target people looking for quest groups. If the chat system were sufficient, we wouldn't have LFG.And if I'm using the LFG window to find groups anyway, why not make it easier?/waits for Blizzard to next ban anyone posting groups for non-elite quests.Yes, I'm very annoyed at them right now. I was willing to accept that perhaps it had to be done to reduce server load or something technical like that; if an addon hurts other people who aren't using it, that's a good reason to disable it. To break it because they don't approve of my playstyle is frustrating.
"But large amount of quests for leveling are designed for solo players and with automatically formed groups you'll complete them in seconds what ruins the designed amount of time for the quest and balance of rewards."This by far is one of the most arrogant comments I have ever heard from a developer. This is someone who is upset that someone is not playing their way and is taking their toys home.
Blizzard reasoning for ruining LFG addons is absurd and makes zero sense. It's like they have absolutely no clue what they are doing.
If you want a group for something that's not really intended to be done in a group, form one manually. Nothing's stopping you from doing it. If that's too much of a hassle, then perhaps you don't really need a group to do that activity in the first place. Seems simple to me.
