More fake allied races they give to us... more hyped I am getting for Classic servers...
So Calia is like a light version of Nathanos from what I understand from this since she is undead but her body is not! Also people quitting the game because of a few pages of a novel like are you serious ?
Blizzard, please retcon Christie Golden and the reign of terror.
I was going to buy the book... and then I read this.meh.
Seams to be happening a lot with the horde now a days. As a devout forsaken sense day one I call bull@#$%.I thought alliance and horde was supposed to be 2 factions fighting for control of the world, both with different views and both with terrible deeds and great heroes, but sadly this is turning into the standard Good vs Evil. and not even the clever kind.
Can Christie be a raid boss please? Just give her a 1% chance of dropping a great story line.
Getting 'tragedy fatigue' playing horde. All I can do is ignore the idiotic storyline and focus on developing my characters. Horde leaders were absent for most of legion and my home was dalaran so I really don't feel like I have a nickel in their politics. Will spend most of bfa in Zandalar I'm sure, so screw whatever they do to Undercity or even Orgrimar. Maybe I'll put some time in on my dwarf and velf. Also going to level a kt druid. Screw the storyline.
You people realize Christie Golden is given a story line to write within.....
I'm just bewildered by the ideas going behind the entire story arc for this expansion. I looked at the book previews, I've looked into the stories within the expansion and then I think back on the cinematic.... And nothing makes sense whatsoever. I even dislike sourfang now. I dislike the complete dark rout sylvanas is taking. I dislike Genn being painted as a good guy ( he never has been) and now the alliance yet again painted as the ones to seek justice. Let alone how many people shouted out NO at GARROSH 2.0 with Sylvanas but it seems no matter what. It's going to end up that way. I'm really worried with BFA. Because we as players have been through bad storytelling before or at least subpar. But this? This is another level. We have 1 month until this book comes out. I'm really hoping that Christie Golden's twists & turns pay off huge. She's done cool stuff for WoW and I find it insanely unfair to put the blame on every decision of this arc on her. This time is a make it or break it for me to play BFA. Good Luck guys.
IMO, Sylvanas has been on this 'me and mine first' train she's on since cata rolled out, so since she's been shoved into the spotlight via being made Warchief, it's just being made more and more apparent outside the shadows. She defied a direct order w/ the invasion of Gilneas, she's all 'I want ppl to follow what I want and to hell with what others want unless it benefits me or mine' in some manner. And obviously, she only cares about 'her people' if they're willing to follow 'her will'... so much for the much vaunted free will there.I do love the character development shown in other characters though, and seeing how people react to the presence/contact with Azerite. I wish they'd give us something on how dissatisfied others leaders might be with the turn of events in BFA, outside the one cinematic between Baine & Saurfang (Sure we get more on Saurfang being displeased later), but you know the Tauren aren't going to much like this blight and kill *everyone* business that the current warchief seems to be engaging in, all in the name of fighting the enemy. Seems like a Pyrrhic victory to me. It might be fine with her, cause she's dead and can obviously raise the dead to serve her, but what about the living part of the horde? How much is too much? (It's also interesting how Azerite seems to inspire one person to want to heal and aid.. and another to go on a destruction and killing spree.. )
Little did Chris Metzen know what his beloved Warcraft would turn into. This is what happens when you replace the man who grew this world up as his own and deeply cared about it. It is like George Martin passing the right to write A Song of Ice and Fire to some other author.
Yep, it's official now. I have completely given up hope on the new WoW lore.
