I'm excited for a lot of things in 8.2, but when it comes to flying, idk. I haven't seen much of the new zones, and I'm ok with needing rep to fly there, but why are we still bereft of flying in Zandalar and Kul Tiras? Oh well, I guess. At least I can say I'm not bored; I've taken the long wait and been using it to run old raids and questlines. I've discovered a lot of fun things I missed out on, and xmog farming is always rewarding.
Pathfinder system serves 3 important points. It gets you out in the world, it motivates you to do the content they worked hard to create and 3rd, saves you a lot of gold. Bonus we get a free mount. I don't understand what all the fuss is about.
Time gating =/= reward. Flying should be a basic feature in the game regardless if you like that or not.
Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part One should've given us flying at Kul Tiras and Zandalar immediately.Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder, Part Two would've unlocked Nazjatar and Mechagon flying, it really isn't that hard.
In the beginning... :) leveling to 60 for flying was the hardest and longest wait, so I see gaining some reputations and explorations as no biggie and then at least once done, all our lower level BFA alts can fly which makes leveling them heaps easier! Glass half full folks!
As already stated by the time you have done the quests in the required areas we should be close if not already be revered in the faction you need for your chosen faction. It has never been both factions that have been needed and I have no doubt that it will not be needed this time. Looking at what's been stated above tells me that it won't be a long grind unless you make it that way. Get on and play and the rep should come very quickly. If you have not already done Pathfinder Part 1 then you will have a longer time at it but for those of us that really want the flying Part 1 is already done. I am really looking forward to getting flight, the flight whistle is nice but it still can't compare with the ability to go where you want, when you want and can take a direct route to get there.
Sometimes I don’t mind running.Other times I just want to fly over those 50 mobs that are on my way to turn in a quest
I’m excited to unlock flying! I’ve been on a kick working on WoD flying as well, that’s a slow but steady process for me. Someday I won’t need assistance to pull Rukhmar down
I'm just happy I can fly in Stormwind.
Ya'll complaining about the grind are ridiculous. This game is all about grinds, get over it. If you want quick action, go back to fortnight.
Flying needs to be released earlier because most players have maxed 1 or more characters by the time 8.0 came out. So now they are just grinding and grinding is not fun. So having flying earlier allows them to continue with their alts and not have to run everywhere (which is not fun).
I echo what most people are saying - flying needs to be unlocked sooner as half the expansion has gone by the time its unlocked by the average person. I also don't see why we need to "earn" flying in the first place, if you want to fly, fly and if you dont, use ground mounts, its personal preference and people like to explore the world in different ways, let it be up to the individual. I can understand a length quest chain maybe, but rep grinds seem pointless for flying. If rep grinds are a must then I agree with this...
hit the nail on the head . i love to play being a single mom and running to every quest cuts my time to play way way low it would be nice if you could reach exalted and have the opition to buy instead of this crappy pathfinder . since bfa my part 1 is comepleted and yet here we are still waiting for the next half to come out i dont even have dranor or legion flying because the questing was taking to long but i am exalted with all smh
I fully agree with you!Maybe unlock they should unlock it when you hit the expansion's max level. The reputation grind is ridiculous!
That's your opinion, and you are entitled to it.
While I see the points that many have posted, My opinion is they are trying to put a stop to the botters and farmers out there. And I am not talking about the usual farmers, I am talking about the guys/gals who actually spend their entire day to farm items etc etc, just to turn around and sell them on an online site that sells to folks whom are to darn lazy to farm things for themselves. These are also the guys who sell ingame gold for real life cash, and both of those are against Blizz policy, let alone, serious account security for being hacked. I realize this is a game to enjoy and helps me fade out from the insanity of real life. I am not going to get all twitter-pated every time I have to complete some achievements to earn something fun. While I did not join in until WotLK, I have heard from others how hard it was to earn flying in Vanilla. Blizzard has made so much easier for us now that we: get flying unlocked account wide, mounts are now account wide. We have become such a bunch of spoiled little brats, that we want to complain about the pathfinder requirements. So let's suck it up guys, and realize that not everything is going to be easy and what we want. Some things you have to earn to receive, just like in real life.
agree!
Its not exalted, its revered. And since the reps are primarily earned via quests . . . . This way if you happen to miss a day in the quest rotation you aren't stuck waiting for a single quest to pop back up.
