Cross your fingers
I don't really mind titanforging.Prior to MoP, you used to run into the problem of some of your best-geared raiders either stopping raiding or switch to alts once they had their BiS set (until the next tier released); which often caused your raid to struggle to clear something that used to be on farm.Titanforging provides you with an incentive to raid, regardless of your gear level. The other side of the coin, of course, is that you'll never feel done, and you might feel "forced" to pursue the practically impossible ilvl cap, and getting an upgrade becomes increasingly rare as you do so, which gets frustrating over time. But, personally I'd still say the pros outweigh the cons.
So glad they're dropping legendaries, having to level 4 of the same class just to be competitive was a nightmare
I do hope they add back Legendaries the way they used to be. Either some weapons, or MoP/WoD like progressive chain, or even a mix of those two, a progressive questline that in the end gives you a weapon suited for your spec. And if that was the case, I'd love to have some available options there as well, for example, let me choose if I want my Frost DK or my SV Hunter to dual weild or to go Two-Handed, with two sets of legendaries; either a Bow, XBow or Rifle for Ranged Hunters (just cosmetic, same effect, and so on); Staff or Main + Off hand for casters; etc.
Glad we're getting rid of legendaries. Hope that ditching them brings with it a reversal of previous pruning and that some legendary things get baked in to the class or spec.I do wish WF/TF were not going to be a thing. At the veerrryyy least, make it much rarer and with a smaller benefit spread.
Goodbye legendaries. Now lift the cap so I can be mad OP in old content, lol.
Three slots are enabled for azurite.
Glad to see the random legendaries gone. With a game so currently dependent on RNG, it was frustrating to also have the addition of needing to get your BiS legendaries through another RNG system.
I like the titanforging system but I do agree that there should be some sort of cap on it. It was encouraging to hear Ion speak about not needing to go back and run somewhat irrelevant content on the off-chance you'd get some insane titanforge luck. I'd personally also like to see some kind of remnant of the Artifact Power/Valor upgrade system to be stop-gap between big titanforges and work you can put in to your character to upgrade your power.
Is there any new of any kind of legendaries being present in the expansion? A quest chain, a raid boss drop or anything at all that will have that sweet and sexy orange color in its name?
Tooltip to this post (955 Titanforged Unstable Arcanocrystal) makes me mad. Literally sad that this single item, which is obtained solely through RNG, is arguably the best item in the game.
If they could cap "forging" to a maxium of 10-15 ilvls that would solve a lot of problems. The legendary system not going forward into legion is an improvement, but for TF it should just go away and make items not forge higher than 15 ilvls at best. Because with the high amount of forging thats present right now,its a hassle to get people at 930 who is doing numbers that would be too low even by Nighthold levels.
Good riddance on the legendaries. Now if only they'd loose Titanforging. Warfoging is bad enough.
But will we ever lear what's the Sphuz's secret?
I'm wondering how they plan to nerf legendaries so they are not worthwhile using in BfA. The stat deficits may be enough, but I'm not sure...
Won't miss legendaries, but would have hoped the TF/WF system could have gone the same way... into the abyss.
It was a nice feeling when you received a new legendary and was totally not expecting it and seeing his effects for the first time, but when you had to get a specific legendary, it was just a really long farm, way too long if you had no luck in my opinion.
Titanforging incentivises people who wouldn't otherwise do content to do it on the chance that the rewards titanforge. So like it or not, they're going to keep it for that reason.
