Good riddance to an useless proffession. I find it very irritating with how much the FA drop quests piles up, and having to remove the quest and destroy the item. They are NOT worth doing!
I remember healers yelling at me to use bandages in Molten Core in 2005 .. that was probably the last time I really cared about First Aid though!
I honestly can't understand why bandages don't just heal you for 5% of your health every second for 6 seconds with the amount increasing depending on skill up to a maximum of 10% for 6 seconds. Right there would make bandages useful again, I know I'd certainly care about the profession then.
I'd hate to see it go! It comes in really useful when you don't have alchemy!
Typical. "First Aid is now useless. What to do about it? Fix it? ... Nah, remove it."
well considering you only got 1 or 2 ticks of it before it stopped healing you, it was almost useless then in TBC to the point why use it now? The bandages now heal for so little of your max hp they were a waste of mats you could vendor or sell to the AH or make something much better from. Back in expansions past this was useful to a point, now it has no use. I wouldn't mind it disappearing if in BFA they still heal for a very small portion of your hp even fully channeled. However if during the stat squish they make them useful, i would very much miss this.
WHAT? This is pure insanity! First Aid has been around since Vanilla - they should not be taking this away!
The last time First Aid was relevant was in Wrath. It has been a dead profession for ages. If they can't reform it into something useful, good riddance.
Good riddance! Absolutely useless profession in modern Warcraft.
Eh, I like the concept of First Aid, but... does anyone use it? lol
What the hell? And just because some of you dont use it doesn't mean its fine to just remove it.Removing it is just a band-aid, ironically. FIXING it and making it useful is whats needed
Don't think the will remove First Aid.... hopefully, they make it much better, however...
To all the */shrug whatevs we don't need first aid- not like anybody uses it anyways* that's a horrible answer. It takes away from the rpg element for some, it takes away from skill usage of using the bandages, and it takes away from healing for classes without a heal. First Aid has been on the decline since about MoP. With all the health gains and stat squishes it really shouldn't come as a surprise that people aren't using bandages as often because of how poorly they have been scaling lately resulting in feeling rather lackluster. It's an optional resource; you don't have to use it-so why take it away from those that do? If you play a healer than of course you're probably not going to use a bandage for should be obvious reasons. I know some people that use them all the time in pvp and those that use them in pve during "downtime" (and sometimes you just get stuck in combat for no reason and can't eat to heal up and you're waiting on heals to get mana anyways). I personally have used legion bandages while leveling up my warrior; especially while on the quest line for the fury artifact weapon.
it's pretty unneeded now. a part of me is sad to see it go but I do understand. it doesn't really do anything anymore, does it? I started playing in burning crusade myself and I made decent use of it as I leveled in the vanilla content but with the exception of a few areas, I didn't need it as I got closer to max level. Most characters now have a way to heal themselves out in the open world, their class abilities replace the need for bandages. it's...mostly pointless. if they were to keep it, it'd have to undergo a huge change. I know during wod they tried making health potions with it but even that was awkward, as it took a skill away from alchemists. if bandages are going to stay in game, might as well attach it to the cloth based profession. Personally, I think that's a fair trade off. Still in game for those who want it for the rpg element can get it from someone who works with cloth. and for those who want the heals, well every class has a way to self heal in the open world zones.
I am okay with this. I personally haven't used it since Cataclysm. Most classes have reliable self heal now a days. I only leveled FA for the achievement.
