I really dont understand why people act like they need to open 3 vault slots every week to get geared, weird af
Outside of normal/heroic, it's going to take your average CE guild months to clear the entire raid once. They are probably not going to see 3 mythic vault options(6 kills) until ~4 months into the tier. Every time this argument comes up about raiders vs m+ers, it's like people think of the top guilds as the reference point for raiders, but themselves (an average m+ player) the representative for m+. People need to look at the average CE raider that takes 2/3 or 3/4 of the tier to clear the raid once.Your average guild is going to hit whatever boss the "wall" is, or whenever they feel they have enough loot and just be in extend prison for months getting 0 raid vaults. The only loot they will get is from m+, or when they kill a boss every 2 weeks. So yes, raiders have to get fewer kills because the raid only has 8 bosses, but it's going to take them way longer to get 6 mythic raid kills in a single week compared to someone being able to do 8 20's.
Why does it constantly seem like Mythic+ players want everything to be easy mode? People asking for 1/3/5- so you gear faster just in time to quit faster? I don’t understand. Don’t people want to actually progress and play the game over a long period of time, and not speed run to the finish line and complain there’s no content?I could see MAYBE reducing requirements to 2/4/6 but honestly come on now, 1/3/5 is ridiculous. It feels like at this point they should just implement a Heroic+ system for the casual crowd or something. Mythic+ should always be a challenge.
Blizzard will do a hard switch on the 8 x 20+ for max in vault once they see the amount of players stop logging in after launch.
One other thing to mention, 20 will become the new 15 for most players so they will become even "easier" as more players get exposed to it.
Didn't Blizzard once say they equate 1 raid boss to 1 M+ run? Then why are raid bosses 1,4 and 6, but M+ is still 1,4 and 8?
The requirements for loot was never the issue for me with the vault, more how bad the vault makes other endgame content rewards feel once we're a month or so into the expansion, it starts being the only real option for gear upgrades for many mediumcore players.
Still way too big requirements. It should be all 3 choices by default as long as you did at least something in that row (so 1 boss/1 dungeon/1 pvp win unlocks all 3 choices, you can only get 1 item anyways so this is not a problem).
Lol chill its dungeons we are talking about, you just rush through them.
Wowhead commenters b like "Noooo I have to play the game to get rewards?"
Increasing the keystone level required to maximize reward from the Vault and boosting mob scaling, but not nerfing the required number of completed runs? That's rough.
I like the changes here, a lot actually. But even though I don't do M+ anymore they should still let up a bit on the max maybe put it down to 7 instead of 8. So, do 1,4, and 7. A difference of 3 should be just fine for M+ players. PvP players should be happy with a slight reduction and raiders like myself are very happy with the reduction but I feel like it could honestly be too low, I think 1, 4, and 7 is a good number for all content.
This whole discussion seems silly to me. It's not really about numbers as much as it is about how it feels. And every wow player should by now know how it feels when you're effectively getting nerfed while the others are being bufffed. Cause that's how I see this for m+ players.First of all: everyone is looking at this from a max item level perspective. There is no between so we can leave that discussion out. No matter what content you actually do, be it heroic raids for raiders or +10 etc for m+. We as a group of players look at the numbers at mythic raids and max m+ levels. So this is what has happened:1. M+ got "nerfed" with increasing the req for max rewards to 202. M+ got "nerfed" with increase in scaling3. Now raids got buffed by decreasing the amount of bosses needed1 and 2 happened at the same time but the net effect is that mob scaling went from 172% to 380% when you look at the high end ilvl rewards. I consider that a pretty steep "nerf". So to compensate that I feel that it would be nice to need at least a bit fewer dungeons to run. I'm not asking to get gear for free but at the moment this feels like a doublewhammer which imo makes people understandably upset. Personally I don't care about 3. I'm happy for the raiders. But I don't understand why so many of you are thinking that getting 3 vault options would be gearing for free. If we look back the idea of more vault options came from even trying to get the 1 bis piece from m+. Bliz could have implemented it with some targetting system the same way as was now done for raids in season 4 but even 3 vault slots leaves quite a bit of rng if you want your best piece. Granted that best piece can be better itemized than what the raid has. But the probability of getting a single piece from raiding vs m+ is heavily skewed towards raiding just because the amount of items a raid tier has is way way smaller. And for that us (m+ players) wanted a bit more rng protection. That is the point of the vault but to get that we need the options to be open. And the required effort is potentially going up with the new scaling. Also we don't really know how easy / hard the +20 will actually be. It could be that the 0% versions are 1/2 of what they were for SL in comparison to player power. So 20 would be the same as 15 now. Who knows how it goes after tuning.
