spoiler alert in the description? sheesh...
Welp, that was major a spoiler in the description… last wing of LFR isn’t available yet and a lot of us are stuck waiting to finish the questline. Please don’t put hardcore spoilers like that in the news post description. :/ Especially when it’s a mega controversial one!
as always *!@#in up spoilers dumbhead.com
Was waiting patiently for the last wing of lfr and now spoiled. It was obvious it was likely to be Ebyssian but come on wowhead lots of people who only M+/pvp/ world content and don't raid who wait for lfr for story. Also shows that last wing needs to be out sooner. Long time reader of wowhead and just made an account to post this since spoilers so annoying!
yikes
Wow...great job, a spoiler ruining the qline conclusion on the first sentence of the description, so you can now conveniently read it straight from every Discord channel that uses the Wowhead bot.
Dumb comments about spoiling, if you cared about the lore you'd have seen the questline that's available for weeks
You mind not SPOILING THE STORY IN THE DESCRIPTION?
make them co-ceo's
And Wowhead proves why it's so incredibly stupid for Blizzard to try to tell people they are waiting for LFR to release so people can enjoy the quest line without being spoiled. I have not read the article, but I do read fast enough that I saw the blurb before I could stop myself. Did y'all forget that some folks can't do the quest line until the 20th? Isn't putting spoilers in titles and blurbs a common complaint on this site?Would you PLEASE be more careful, or at the very least, change the article description after the fact now that you've been called out?
Waaa we got spoiled on the story...waaaa!If you've been paying attention,it was obvious that it would be Ebyssian. Wrathion is still too inexperienced and Sabellian is to quick to anger.
Can we ease off on the spoilers on the main page please? That part of the story isn't revealed until the end of the raid which is not yet available to people doing it through raid finder.
Those better fit for the leadership mantle are usually those that never sought it. But rather got forced to because of the circumstances. And to their surprise they discover that they wear it well
Your writers need to actually play the game. It's a little ridiculous how often Wowhead writers spoil major plot points ahead of time, whether it be on PTR, datamining, etc. I'd understand if it was a one time thing, but this has been a pretty consistent trend for the past few years, and the only thing that has come of it is "oops, sorry!" with subtle edits after the damage is already done with zero thought ahead of time that not everyone wants to get spoiled by going to a website database.I've already killed Sark, so this isn't news to me, but the fact that this is still happening for people who don't have the time to commit to a raid schedule and rely on LFR for this stuff isn't really justifiable at this point. Using the "It's been out for weeks!" argument is an extremely weak position. Not everyone has the time to join a guild, play on a consistent raid schedule, and then progress through the content. Not to mention, the new raid really hasn't been out all that long either. It would be one thing if this was months into the patch, but Wowhead is primarily a database and tool website, which can be demonstrated simply by comparing news article comment engagement versus comment engagement within the database for quests, NPCs, items, etc. People come here for news as a subsidiary, and even less looking at the staff writers opinions on stories and plot points honestly. Not trying to be rude or harsh, but that's the honest truth that people care far less about that. Posting these articles is obliviousness at best.I'm not sure why this continues to be a problem honestly. It's not really this difficult to look at an article and proof-read it, say "Hey, this contains potential spoilers, let's make some changes" before publishing it. I feel we're missing the latter more frequently. If that can't be done, then why bother posting this at all?
