I think people should pay extra close attention to that disclaimer, since I'm unable to replicate these wild disparities between specs, or even the same order of ranking when hitting target dummies.Test for yourself, and play whatever you want; you'll help push the bars around for better data next week.
I have an Assassination Rogue and getting a weapon upgrade is proving difficult, all the WQ's that reward weapons are everything other than a dagger :/
I would put an asterisk on this last week (and possibly this one) because of the holiday. I don't think it's accurate because many people took that week and this one off and didn't play.
The reason for feral dropping so hard in Sun King is because of heavy lack of AOE dmg and not because of any healing like speculated in this article. If you check the top feral mythic parse in Sun King, you'll see that they did almost half the dmg of other specs. Even in the same parse you can see a boomy who parsed a 97% in dps and did more healing onto the boss than the feral. The boomy did 7167 dps while the feral did 4908 dps. Moreover, the healing from the feral came mostly in the form of regrowths which can be done while pooling and doesn't affect dps that badly while the boomy has to stop dpsing and throw heals on the boss. The one and only reason for feral being dead last in Sun King is because feral aoe dps is the worst in the game right now. Stop ignoring that fact. Blizzard needs to buff the hell out of aoe abilities for feral to even make it competitive in aoe with everyone else.
Every patch all the balance focus is on the dps classes, but we have yet again some terrible balance as healers for another expansion. Shammys, disc. priest and palas are kings again and the rest are garbo with no dmg, no dmg reduction cooldowns and very limited utility for raids. Cant even tell if it was worst in BfA or in SL, and so little talk about it yet again.
this chart proves one simple thing. gear matters and there is no good way to judge which class will perform best just based on sims as clearly it takes the right player to get the most out of a spec. Now not having tools in their kit is another story but most main dps classes have a 2 or 3 big cooldowns that when used in the right way can dramatically affect their dps. that combined with legendary performance and overall ilvl and covenant this chart is simply a snapshot. In the end it probably is best to just play what you love and then focus there on what makes that class its strongest instead of comparing it to other classes.

33 SV Hunters.......Really glad Blizzard destroyed a popular spec just so Hunters could have a Melee spec no one wanted and no one plays lol. Next I suggest making frost mages melee and assassination rogues healers. Just to spice things up.
Melee frost mage: new talent - touch of cold feet - stuns target with cold shock damaging it for x.Healer Assassin Rouge: Healing stab - Heals your target for 6000 hp but it will bleed over time 50 dps for 30 second. This effect can stack.
hmmm interesting what happens when WW monks and DKs start playing in 3v3. Fun for everyone else.
I know it's early days, but it's so discouraging to see my main class/spec at rock bottom so very far below the best performing specs. I really hope there's gonna be some balancing in the upcoming weeks.
FDK still in the bottom. :(Now you gotta remember this DW, 2H is EVEN LOWER.
Buff Frost
I keep waiting and hoping that they buff arcane. I've gotten rejected from groups because I don't play fire. I don't want to have to be forced into playing the meta. I really hope we get some love and attention soon. I don't need to be ranked #1, but I want us to be competitive and viable for something. Losing out in both M+ and raid feels incredibly defeating.
