The fact that the company had so many big releases this past year being the reason for the record profits that probably aren't sustainable is something I hadn't thought of, so thank you for pointing that out. As a player, I'm fine with the company making a profit. As long as they make a game I'm enjoying, I want them to do well. And I can see the logic if why they cut the jobs, they didn't appear to be needed for the company. But I am worried about the future direction of WoW and the company as a whole. Them cutting the support staff could have an impact on the game, and with the large share of issues early on in BFA, it feels like this is a dangerous area to cut costs. They are also pushing monitization in a ton of different ways across the company that feels like it's hurting what makes the games fun. I mean, I've given up on Hearthstone because it's no longer fun for me.
"We didn't realize our full potential"How the hell would anyone determine this? Horse*!@#.You mean to tell me someone can account for all the releases in terms of entertainment (tv shows), innovations in technology, politics, economy, etc? This is so load of crap. Anyone with common sense knows this is just poop. It's just a bunch of 'professionals' recommending 'changes' in order to maintain their salary or relevance in the world. I would know, I am a 'professional' about to get a doctorate. The education world and market is a load of crap. And 'big' releases are highly subjective. There has been no release date for Diablo Immortal, and micro transactions for Warcraft Remastered has not even been touched. I'm sure you can make your own points if you just think it through. "Lots of data released. Lots of words in good grammar" - Cannot justify laying off 800 people will pay off in the long run when your company is still doing relatively fine. Especially when those people helped contribute to your best performances.

Maybe a little wake up call but all of EU and NA make up for 1/8 (12,5%) of world population. Rest of it is mostly mobile market !I just keep playing my pc games with mouse and keyboard as long as it will be possible and in de background you will hear some real good 60's and 70's music ;)Maybe ad some VR in the near future.
So basically, the tough times are far from over. Unless I'm an executive at Activision, I'm already looking for another job. And if I'm looking for a job, I'd stay as far as I can away from Activision. Morale must be so low there right now
Looks like blizzard lost 7 mau in a year. Wonder from where ;)
It seems their most successful recent project has been alienating their playerbase.
