Title should have "HIS" before salary..I nearly flipped my desk...
This is what happends when you do not buy enough mounts and pets and cosmetics. Poor Bobby won`t be able to buy a new mansion every month. Shame on you.
Can't wait for a vid from Jim Sterling.
1.7m to 800k per year, how will he ever survive!
This is an unusual announcement. CEOs get criticized for being overpaid all the time and no one does anything. There must have been some really big push back from influential people in order for Kotick to agree to this.
This article just shows what kind of people make up the majority of active users here. Cry and $%^&* cuz they want kotick to make less money, then cry and ^&*!@ when he cuts his pay in half. Typical.
Guess he got nerfed.
Imagine being mad about this in the first place.
cool now do it again
I'm not the most pro-rich person in the world, nor do I even think t hat people with this scale of wealth should have such wealth, but I'll be honest, this is not a bad thing, and I'll not mock it for the effort that it is. Even if its PR or not, 90% of the world is people just responding to stuff and trying to either save face or get ahead of it. People also have to remember that people in those social bubbles have different peers and expectations, whether they are good or bad that's just true. So, for him to be responsive like this is actually a good sign.I'd normally NEVER congratulate Bobby for almost anything, but I take things for what they are. I think he made the right move, and I'm happy he made it.
Maybe 1 of the shareholders(or the cleaning lady I don't know) could use their brain and stated the obvious, which was that Kotick contributed probably 0 to the "success" they've had the past year and a half. Other factors were at play there and Kotick just happened to be the CEO when that was happening.
maybe there is some other uncited bonus he can still have (when he leave the company?)
Its mostly a shame they didn't promise to roll that money back into the company.. it'll be used for somebody else's bonus somebody who isn't doing most of the work.
he's got a net worth over 600 mil, this is nothing, merely a PR stunt. if only they would have reduced the BS by 50%...
Looks like it was take a pay cut or the board was going to replace him. Bobby does what is best for Bobby.
