I noticed this yesterday. Makes sense since the anima could be sitting in your box from a few days ago. At least it's easier to complete with those 250 WQ rewards and smaller anima quests.
I missed out on 500 anima credit this week - not a big deal for me, since I do enough WQ in the week to finish it easily, but I can imagine it being very frustrating. This is fixable without allowing the exploit of saving up X weeks worth ahead of time by making anima count as collected as it gets sent to your mailbox from a full bag situation, though I imagine this is non-trivial to re-engineer how quest objectives and full bag loot interact, and thus very low priority due to low benefit for the development time (and the risk of introducing new issues).Other than the sheer volume of different items, there is some value in it being an item, I think - it feels nice to go hand them in and get the visuals of the number going up - little things like this add to the overall game feel... that said, there are too many different bits in the bag :)Mostly unrelated, but likewise, there is some value in using the quest system for callings/weeklies like this, instead of the map view of emmisaries... but I do wish the quest log cap was a bit higher, or old part-completed quests from old content could not count. Having to play quest log clear out and not be able to keep the 2-3 side quests from a few different zones as a remind to go back to later, is frustrating. Likewise it would be good if you didn't lose out by doing a big anima quest before picking up the weekly; If it knew what date you got the items, then the quest could automatically account for anything you got before picking it up... though this would undermine some of the game feel / world feel benefits of going to pick them up, since you could skip picking it up until you were done
Found out the hard way for this the other day, when one of the 3 250 anima tokens went into the mail because i didn't have bag space! :(
just clear ur bags heathens! we live in a world where u can easily have 144+ bag slots. there's several addons that autovendor garbage every time u visit a vendor so there is no excuse.
I don't see what the problem is with having it in the mailbox. You still earned the anima. I haven't run into this problem but I'm glad for the heads up on checking for bag space.
The weird thing is I opened my mailbox and DID get credit from some yesterday but I wouldn't rely on it.

The most "efficient" way to do the anima weekly though is still to just....not complete it and turn it in the next week on Tuesday and get your "lost" Renown from the world boss. Especially on breakpoint weeks like double potency unlock weeks where you now don't have to collect 1000 anima before your raid Tuesday night.
I lost so much anima because of this. It is so annoying. Why not count in at the moment you complete the quest and not the moment you loot it? There won't be exploit and you don't need to worry to look at you bagspace every minute. It is very easy to fill 30+ bag space with all that trash that you loot during elite WQs. If it overlaps with World Boss you just lost 500 anima progress because you didn't vendor everything before coming there and dared to loot what was on the ground...You finished the quest and you realized you had full bags. Too bad, you can't loot it because Blizzard sent it right to your mail preventing it to count towards the quest...
DUH, We all know this since the expansion started... It's a bug not a feature. Fire your interns BLIZZARD! They can't do sht.I don't understand why people defend this bug, its a bug. No one wants the objective to be WHEN the anima goes to your bag. It SHOULD be when the anima is REWARDED, regardless when the anima is put in your bag, what you do with your bag is irrelevant. If you get the objective done when it's REWARDED they you cannot bank anima as these people speculate. There's no excuse to not fix this bug. They don't want to do it because changing the objective from "When(Anima goes to bag)" to "When(Anima is rewarded)" seems to be too dificult for a 15 year old intern of blizzard.
Pathetic that this still hasn't been fixed.Shadowlands systems are still a fiesta.
Put a few items in the bank (or mail to an alt) for space for a few items to carry around. Go for the world quests that reward the most. For starters, there's often a 250 Anima weekly quest. Do that immediately on reset, then find world quests with the most reward, and typically you can rid yourself from having "to carry around Anima items" within a couple of hours (or LESS!) by time Tuesday or Wednesday is done and dusted... (oh and I don't play every day because of work commitments so had to learn to do quests as quick as possible.)I hope people also know that the Queen's Conservatory is also a similar quest, so get that at the same time...
I mean anima shouldn't even be an item you collect. I love having 18 different items in my inventory that all do the same thing....Oh well
