Honestly I wish portals could just pop up a notification of "This leads to a zone intended for a higher level than your character is", to press or for. There's levelers and bank alts to consider, for sure. But there's also roleplayers and explorers that would like to check these places out. Avoiding confusion is sometimes necessary, of course. But too much hand-holding can also be very restrictive.
Also the Rostrum of Transformation is locked to new characters until level 70 locking you out of progressionEdit: You can run this to open your Dragon riding Glyphs on your alts my Covenant Sanctum is showing for some reason/run DragonridingPanelSkillsButtonMixin:OnClick()
They screwed up timewalking, too. I tried doing Legion stuff on my lvl 15 panda, but it prompted me to use the Valdrakken portal for some reason. Also, I can't even access the Azuna portal :/And no, there's no intro quest for Legion anymore (tables of consumables at the docks, NPC you can talk to to skip the scenario, etc), it just tells you to get to the Broken Isles. Once again, can't access any portals really.
Not nearly as important, but they broke Timeless Isle bridge jump as well in this patch. So watch out belowwwww!
You should probably change "UPDATED" in the title to "BUGGED" or something pf similar nature.
Definitely a bug.
Several quests are also bugged, like the save explorers from earth elementals in Waking Shore. The rostrum quest can be circumvented using the barbershop surprisingly enough, but it really needs to get fixed.
WQ also bugged? They all reward lvl 70 equipment on alts between lvl 60-70.
As somebody who isn't currently working at Blizzard, but does understand a fair bit about programming and similar things, how the &*!@ does this happen? Who was messing with what to implement a levelcap on portals that then suddenly becomes tricky to fix?I feel like the "tricky to fix" is just another phrase for "everybody who is capable of fixing this very easy issue is currently not working".It's well known that WoWs code is absolutely horrible and more akin to a plate of spaghetti than any other code in existance, but whenever these things happen and take several days to fix, there's just no excuse that can be given, other than "We deeply apologize for our incompetence and we're striving to improve ourselves" but even that would be a lie, because there's truly no strife for improvement.
good to hear we dont those lowbies taking a portal to a zone thats about to be rotated out , good job blizzard ! 15/10.
but... why?
The same happened for the cooking event for the task to pick up the piles of kelp. That requires level 70 too. Also the quests to turn in reputation items for the DF factions is considered an old quest. The WQ gear changed again too. For the last two weeks at least WQ gave my level 60-69 toons 350 ilvl gear and sometimes its marked for level 70. Now its down to ilvl 327 and has no level requirement. And the satchel from the rooking event awards ilvl 250 gear sometimes.
100% unintentional ... how are u gonna lock people out of leveling up ... hard lock out if they didnt set a hearthstone anywhere in Dragon isles ... will be reverted without question
It's definitely a bug. Yesterday my L63 and L65 couldn't view the dragonriding talents/rep box, and automount in the Dragon Isles resulted in other rideable mounts....not the DF mounts.
