Eugh. I know it was unrealistic, but I was hoping the promised shadow variant of the derp-owl would at least be tolerable instead of throwing a purple coat of paint on it. I probably won't be touching it after getting it. That's no priest mount as far as I'm concerned.
the problem isnt that paladins get horses. its that other classes dont really have animals associated with them. There are very few Demons you can ride, so of course its a big hulking fel bat which is new and blah blah. Horses are a paladin thing so deathknights had to have an undead...something and of course undead dragons are strongly tied to the class. This argument even fails to consider that "all"monks get is a tiger, all warlocks get is a horse. All rogues get is a bird, all priests get is an owlgriffon. Like have you LOOKED at those chargers? There is SOO much detail in it and their armor. Its ok to not like it...Just say "i dont like it" but the fact is its a well made mount and looks very "paladin". Paladins already have 2 race specfic mounts (other than dwarves). They are objectively well made. The problem is they are paladins. And Paladin=Knight which = horde. If you dont want a knight in shining armor riding a noble steed then you shouldnt play a paladin.
Of the DK mounts, my favorite is the Green one. I'm really upset though because my DK is Frost and it looks like I'll be forced into the blue tint just because of my spec. Also, the paladin mount is the absolute worst of the bunch. It's a neutral horse and doesn't have wings. Draenei and Tauren will literally never use this mount because they will look stupid as hell.
Class mounts are really mounts (like will count toward achievements) or just spells?
Is that 4th one under new models Sargeras, or an avatar of Sargeras? Reminds me a lot of this image from WoWWiki, and the armor is almost identical to his armor in this image from the Warcraft Saga comic.
Warlock mounts can at least get some demonic wings I mean. It's just another horse at this point . . if no wings can it at least walk on water again ?
I don't like how Tailors get stuck with making only rug mounts. We're TAILORS. Let us make the zeppelin mount! There's so many things that a tailor could make like hang-gliders, stuffed animals that fly with magic (LOL), massive parade balloons, and other insane ideas. My Tailor is also a Mage, who gets stuck with 2 an inanimate objects as a mount (the rug and the disc). They have no character to them, no face to relate to, just standing on top of a bejeweled sewer cover or rug. Not all Tailors are Draenei genies or Human Aladdins that surf on magic carpets. I love the massive critters with a majestic face that I can look at while it flies my toon around, you guys have come up with some amazing mounts over the years. I'm disappointed that I won't use the newest ones, but at least I have the old ones to use.Aww they finally updated the red ghoul. A small part of me is sad that they've completely deleted the green Andorhal "Freezing Ghoul" from the game in favor of just the red ones. OMG, if I could have a green ghoul battle pet I'd be the happiest player ever, and if its a cute chibi version of it, EVEN HAPPIER. I'm not referring to the ugly DK ghouls either, I'm talking about the original mint green ghouls with darker green hands and feet. Remember those? In some odd way, I found them to be cute with their black shining eyes, toothy underbite and silly crazy hair. It just makes me smile.
I see a lot of people with nothing but negative things to say. I've made many in game suggestions to better World of Warcraft over the years ( around 500 in the past 3 years) from things as small as the grappling hook used in Stormheim, or being able to use siege vehicles during the pre-patch, to the return of the legion itself, of which about 85-90% of them are currently in game or about to be in game including these mounts. I main a shaman and was quite happy with my idea of a shaman who is a master of elements being able to ride the wind. As for the other class mounts, well the only other one that I had any real suggestion for was the hunter which I felt should be able to tame their mount but I left the rest up to Blizzard. While I do think you have a right to your opinions and I agree with you that some of these mounts are lacking in looks, I also believe that most of you have made no actual suggestion on how to fix what you don't like. Simple saying I don't like this mount doesn't give anyone any idea why you don't like it or what can be done to fix it (not that they will fix it just for you but if you had a good enough suggestion who knows). Blizzard does read these forums as well as our in game suggestions. I'll give you a good example of one of mine. In the in game cash shop there is a mount called the Iron Skyreaver, it as two rockets on it, I've seen many people in game question these rockets and this mount and I usually pm them and tell them the quick story behind it. I believe it was around Lich King when Blizzard started talking about lowering the flying speed in game and upon hearing this I submitting one of my first suggestions that went something like this:"I heard that you are not going to increase the max flying speed in the next expansion and that 375% is already faster then you want us to go and that you're thinking about lowering it. If that's true can you at least straps some rockets to my mounts butt so it at least looks like it's going faster." This of course was a joke, I had no idea that Blizzard would actually do it. I went on to further suggest that it be a dragon and a two-headed one at that. In the suggestion section in game it asks you something along the lines of how will this help improve the game to which I simple said "because it will make me laugh every time I see this mount in game" and to this day every time I see one you riding this mount it makes me laugh knowing that, that is my mount. It doesn't take much to leave Blizzard feedback or to come up with a good idea and post it but just saying "nope" "don't like this one" doesn't really help anyone figure out how to improve anything. If you have better suggestions for these mounts you should send Blizzard a suggestion (but knowing when I made this suggestion for class mounts for every class and seeing how long it took to get them it's kind of too late but who knows)
need pepe!
The fel corupted Titan Avatar looks awesome.
I really hope the carpet can fly. Whats the use of having a carpet-mount if it cannot fly? Can I at least put it down to sit on or something? I'm going to heed TaeDragon's words and submit a suggestion about this through the game. I'm a warlock and excited to try out the new mount when (if) I get it, but not sure if I'll use it much. I specifically use my dreadsteed where I can't fly so I won't accidentally try to fly and fall to my death so a flying horse with no wings is just going to confuse me :P
I don't know how to feel :/
I was really excited for a lot of these mounts until I read that they change color when you change spec. It's fine that they aren't separate mounts, but some of the colors won't match the theme for my characters. Like my shamans, I have an Elemental (lightning themed) and an Enhancement (fire/earth themed), but the fire/storm mount colors are backwards (you can view those models on Warcraftmounts.com). Le sigh. I got lucky with the Unholy, Shadow, and Demo mounts, but I sure hope that red hunter mount is for Marks, or my Belf will be sad. Amazing mounts though, still looking forward to getting them (except mage. meh).I will add, to be constructive, an idea for mage mounts. Certainly fire, frost, and arcane themed, but a sort of crystalline entity would be cool. Not an elemental per se, but like made of those magic crystals mages are involved with. Make them have vibrant magical auras and they could levitate so they dont need legs. So rather, reshape the mage disk into a fire, frost or arcane being. Especially frost! There are next to no icy or frosty mounts in the game besides undead things, and my poor frost mage needs an epic frost crystal monster to soar the skies on. Something totally new. Like take one of those arcane elemental things and stretch him out thinner and long like a serpent, but give him a frosty aura and wicked ice armor and shard claws. I'd SO ride that.
So... Demon Hunters will get a tricked out, winged xenomorph on steroids called Slayer's Shrieker... I guess I can live with that. 😎
For players who are looking for statistics I have created a special page :) wow server population I hope somebody will enjoy it.
