Saw the BRH nerf coming from miles away.
Weak nerfs. They should remove this buffs entirely.
@Redron I agree that the nerfs are quite weak, it hasn't helped a lot in terms of mass spellstealing the buff, as we've seen a lot in MDI. However, I disagree that the buff should be removed, as there would be no incentive to interrupt the Arcanist, other than avoiding a, quite frankly, pitiful amount of damage. They could increase the damage of the spell itself to counteract the removal of the buff, but missing an interrupt would be more punishing as a result.Personally, I'd rather see a limit to how many stacks you can spellsteal, say 10. That would still give you 350% damage increase with the new nerf, but prevent mages from overstacking it to some insane percentage if they waited long enough.
I would assume the BRH nerf will really help with healer mage towers as well. If you let it get out of hand it does a lot of damage.
As a healer who enjoys to do M+ for fun or boost friends in normal/HC dungeons, this is great news. Those two dungeons are always a bugger for undergeared players who may become outhealable.
Because of this, warlocks will probably be nerfed even more in BfA just because.
Warrior nerf will be next. Oh wait..
In previous expansions, their common response was to set mobs uncharmable and buffs unstealable. So this is a huge improvement on that, and the right thing to do.
so much anger, so much virgin angst i assume?choasbringer's nerf is weak, as for the BRH one, well the one mob i'm not scared of there get nerfed okay that's fine. Maybe they won't make anything like BRH in BFA i'm alot better with that, so many trash packs i shudder at - pugging has really scarred me with this dungeon. I just hope blizzard didn't nerf these due to what top end players are doing, that's bad. Its like oh don't be good or we'll nerf ya to put ya in line.
The amount of teenage angst on a couple of these comments is palpable. Lol.I strongly dislike the concept of having mechanics which cause the requirement of a mage/warlock/etc to compete at a high level. I could agree with having things like this scattered around for all classes, but these two instances being the only ones existing sort of bugs me. Meh, I'm happy about the nerf regardless.I have the same disagreement with class specific raid mechanics. I find Mythic Aggramar to be extremely annoying due to the value of blood DK vs other tanks. However, I don't scream on the forums regarding "get gud" when I dislike something. Cheers.
I'm glad they nerfed that mage buff. If you cant complete the dungeon without that, then you shouldn't be in the MDI.
I am glad they didnt remove/make the buffs unstealable. The enslave demon and spellsteal spells are really niche things that aren't used 90% of the time, but they add class identity and flavor. Players should be rewarded for clever use of mechanics. However, it shouldn't be game breaking as i feel it was during the MDI.
How is it "game breaking" when its the teams who decide on what classes to bring?Anyway, this nerfs are meaningless, if Blizzard really wants to make mythic+ an interesting esport they need to balance classes so you don't need to play certain classes in order to compete on the highest levels (on live aswell some classes are unwanted at high keys).
