Nineteen years of wildkin using the ogre animations, and all that waiting paid off.
It really seems that about 80% of all class development time is reserved for druids. There isn't a week without a rework or change for one of the 4 specs while one of the most played classes, Hunter, gets nothing.
Brand-new is a bold word here since these are just Kultiran body type 1's casting animation. They just reused them.
First one reminds me of the old hurricane animation.
If you look at Tindral Sageswift's moonkin form in the 3D viewer, he's got a whole suite of new animations. I assume the new skins available to players will share them, though I haven't checked. They do seem based on the Kul Tiran rig, but with some tweaked animations to match the usual moonkin ones (gotta have that ogre dance!)
Speaking from the Moonkin point of view I would rather they just made the Moonkin a toggle form similar to Resto Druids tree form. I see way more Blue Druids then I have seen using the Moonkin form, so animation at this point and time seem pointless. I think they are wasting dev time on forms there's no point in using. Nobody is using aquatic form, nobody is using flight form and nobody is using travel form 99% of the time. Especially in an expansion that wants you dragon riding then doing anything else.
Very neat & interesting animations, love to see the rustling of the feathers from the force of the Moonkin's "power" being used. Very curious to see how this would look on Z-Troll's Moonkin form. This may be a contender for dropping Glyph of Stars for me!
Wait.. Are these even new animations, or just that the new models have weights on more pieces so that stuff looks like it's moving naturally?
