Does Blizzard really think this will make people actually do the feasts? Nobody cares about them anymore. Always dead on my server
The ingredient tasks give you more rep than normal tasks except, perhaps, for killing the monster(s) attacking the soup. So they're usually worth doing. The only time I don't do them is if there's less than 30 seconds of the event left, as you don't get Bisquit's drops if it's not tagged.
I'd much rather have more fishing and scavenging hunts than mindlessly AoE-ing fish heads and meat chunks. Kinda wish we had tasks where we need to use our actual cooking skills as well. It shouldn't be a combat event is what I mean, but something focused on the fishing and cooking professions
Making a terrible event even worse.
Stop iterating on the goddamn soup and fix class imbalance <<cries in Elemental Shaman>>.
The problem is the waiting between tasks is annoying. on high pop shards and this might help that by having more tasks go out .
waste of development time
i will assume these were added to also stop the fact that only like 1/10th of the participants got a task
This is fine, it keeps people from AFK'ing it and scaling it up without contributing.
Whew, some of these comments tell me that I guess it's possible to be 'bad' at the event. Eventually I just started remembering which NPCs sold which item instead of having to look them up every time. Actually committing things to memory helps here. Additionally, paying attention to both the event timer and the progress bar ensures that you won't be 'out of range' for elite spawns if you're going for rep. Elites that spawn don't have to be tagged to get the rep from them either, you just have to be within a certain range (which extends pretty far beyond the area of the pot btw). Bisquius does, but with how long it takes for it to spawn after the event's over you'd have to actually be AFK to miss tagging it.
having a task to go to a vendor you sometimes don't even get a mark on your minimap for is always an annoying task to get.... and now we get more of them? at this point we've done the soup so many times, i think it's understandable for people to want to just finish it quickly and not want even MORE of these slow tasks... they did something great by adding the "yes chef" to count as a task, we really needed it when there's too many people doing the event which still often happens, but then we get more of these slow tasks... it's just annoying at the end of the day. nobody ever wants to get those tasks so why put more of them..
