Splits and Mythic Reclear are all behind us now, and the second reset's main event, Mythic Raszageth Progression, looks likely to fill the next several days! Currently we have Echo in the lead by a bit over a percentage point over Liquid, though this is likely to flip back and forth as each guild goes to bed ahead and wakes up behind.
Raszageth's Phase 2 looks nasty - the first phase and the first intermission have both been beaten though neither is reliably on farm yet for either guild. Phase 2 begins with a huge absorb shield on the boss, 117 million damage, that needs to be broken with over 230k dps per player, though triple damage is available through the mark mechanic. Whether or not it's feasible to break this shield remains to be seen, we'll have to wait until Echo and Liquid are able to reliably make it to the phase with all of their players and as many cooldowns as possible!
Making it to even the first intermisison reliably is proving to be particularly challenging for Liquid, who have dropped a healer and are having more P1 wipes than Echo probably largely for that reason. This may pay off for them later against that P2 shield where the extra damage that they can bring with an extra DPS player might make the difference, but it does mean they're paying a price right now. There's also the question of if Blizzard will nerf that shield - if they do, the timing and magnitude of that nerf could dramatically shift the dynamics of the race and reward or punish either guild for their investments in the 4 or 5 heal strategies so far.
Finally, Dratnos and Tettles take a look at the Race for World Third currently ongoing between mostly Method and BDGG, with Skyline joining those two guilds at 6/8M but with much higher pull counts and the even later reset timing potentially hurting their chances of competing.

Nerfed the shield by 50%. 56ish million now.

Well, 115k, or ~40k dps without the buff, sounds a lot more reasonable now.
