So... PvP isn't a thing anymore? Where are the Covenant options for PvP?
I just can't wait for when we've chosen a covenant after getting to 60 based on the release build predictions, then raid comes out, balance changes start rolling out and it's all different again xD Very much dislike this system, the choice should be based purely on a personal preference basis imo :(
For everyone who isn't aware. The reason Kyrian is top for most specs is because Pelagos tree offers access to two potency conduit while also getting two throughput oriented soulbind traits (2+2).All other soulbinds in the game only get you 2+1 (either 2 potency conduits with 1 throughput trait, or 1 potency conduit with 2 throughput traits).Expect this to get changed.
I'm stoked for my Angel Vulpera Warlock... That's a sentence I didn't expect to write ever...
There are surprisingly many specs that have kyrian as their best. Witch is sad becuase i don't really like the theme of kyrian
Updated only to be out of date in the next beta build :P
I like this system, I really do. But say if I as a mage play frost/arcane to start with, the speccs that are our tops ones, and then half way thru, fire climbs up as best one like it did in BfA, then I have to change covenant from Venthyr? Or, am I so lucky that my Covenant is specc-based? :(
Pick whatever you want but don't complain about not getting into Pugs if you didn't pick the best performers. You made the choice to pick aesthetics over power, deal with the consequences.
Yes, I'm sure the best m+ covenant for Mistweavers is a 2 minute Mastery cooldown and not Faeline Stomp that does healing and damage and indirectly buffs your Mastery by dramatically increasing Essence Font uptime for a negligible cost. Okay.
didnt you release an article just yesterday saying its too early to make these kinds of lists?
i don't believe wowhead, i want to be precise about how much% each covenant is better than the other, it is not blizzard but sites like wowhead that clearly tell people what is better!Pls Show us numbers for specific Situations, covenants should not be decided for bis because of 3-4% dmg increase!
All those discussions could easily be solved by Blizzard saying: "we've conducted extensive tests and we can guarantee that all the in game content can be achieved in any difficulty by any of the covenants / soulbind / conduits combination currently available in the game".Problem solved.
80% of players can pick what they want, as the min/max level of play has little to no effect, M+ sub 15s or heroic raiding. Too many people worry about what is meta for content it has no bearing on, I've seen an alt of an ilvl 130, CE, 5k+ raider.io get declined for a +12 ML Posts like this aren't doing the community at large any favours as it really only matters to the top 20% ever and really really only matters to probs like 5% if that and those people are the ones reading these posts, they are on the class discord discussing this stuff that is then posted here.whilst I love WoW I do worry about this style of post !
Beside my overall revulsion to being coralled into whatever is "best" for my raiding team and mythic+ groups, I am slightly concerned as the majority of Kyrian preference. This stems from playing beta and seeing that Bastion and the Kyrian covenant seems the most "finished". If this is the case then it bodes unwell for launch as that is where the main population of players will be. An even spread for the amount of traffic they are expecting would be better, overpopulated areas for quests that require mobs that arent multitaggable or dont have personal loot will be unbearable, not to mention the burden on the servers, sharded or not.
