While I think certain areas should be barred (such as current-content world bosses), it's not that big a deal otherwise. If this were something that was going to be ongoing I could understand the anger, but it's only for a week.
I'm confused, is that event supposed to be fun or?
There has been nothing new to do in the game for months, its a one week long event before the launch of the expansion, it is tied to the scourge outbreak and makes the game feel at least a bit like an MMO, since it I dont remember the world feeling more alive and filled with players for a long time now. Yet people still get offended and annoyed by it, even tho they can cleanse it, even tho there is literally no content unavailable to them as the only part of game that is impacted is Stormwind and Orgrimmar. Not like there were more cities or like 7 expansions of content where you will hardly find any zombies...
I think it's the perfect ending for that expansion and could not summarise it better => poor design and not fun.
Why can't you all enjoy something that's different? No, you just want to perform your daily routine that you've been performing for years and you cant' enjoy one week of something different because of the narrowness or sorrowness of your minds. #SpreadTheDisease
Did they turn it off for the night? I logged in to level some alts and saw no zombies in either Org or SW.
This comment section clearly highlights the reason why people saying "WHY IS THE ZOMBIE EVENT SO SHORT THIS PRE-PATCH SUCKS REEEEE" had zero clue what they were talking about. Because this is what happened in the pre-Wrath event, and Blizzard wasn't stupid enough to have it go so long a second time. If this is too much for you to handle, single-player games are there for you.
