I would like the option to for the creation catalyst to be able to turn my gear into Zereth Mortis gear, like the helm with the socket and the gloves and chest pieces with the ZM effects. I think that would be a cool little thing that some people would appreciate.
thats good, not everyone farm mythic raids to get set pieces
The idea is good. Being able to only craft stuff -30 ilvl compared to max level if you don’t do partied content is less good.
While I think its a good spot to put such things - instead of what they said each new patch, new item to go to (hi BFA). I hope its nothing grindy like the shadowlands legendary system. Crafting 15 things you can not vendor, with a huge vendor mat cost and no way to regain this cost by selling on the AH (especially on small servers), has been a failure I would say. Too early to tell, but being able to convert a m+/raid/pvp peice into a teir would be great - even if we need to work order it to someone else. It would make those professions relevant again - even if this is their only use. Plenty of guilds should have someone with a LW alt or even main if they didn't go engineering / alchemy / enchanting / jewelcrafting. I do share the community with their fears though, too much grind is not going to be fun as its something each character has to do.
This is a great idea. Professions need to matter.
would also be nice to even just get the appearances for those of us who don't do Mythic Raiding but like the appearances and don't want to wait literally years to get them from legacy content
Giving gearing/upgrading to crafters would be great. It could solve a couple problems:1. Create a natural time gate through pattern and material acquisition that could be controlled by both blizzard and players instead of a schedule 2. Give players incentive to work with or become crafters to attain long term goals like tier instead of just running dailies to attain the new zone item.it would create this massively multiplayer online experience..................wait a minute.
I really like these ideas! Keeps crafting relevant. Allows the community to get their power spike at roughly the same time assuming the means to acquire mats isn’t super RNG. Don’t care if there’s a grind for mats or dungeon/raids for mats but would like to see everyone able to get their spike at roughly the same time. Example, last raid boss of a wing has 100% drop chance for a tier crafting piece for everyone in the raid. After 4 weekly kills of the boss all of the raiders on that team acquired enough mats to craft a tier piece. Example 2, M+ has an average chance to drop a crafting component (make it so you might have to run 4 or 5 to get one) and capped per week similar to valor - once you’ve collected the amount necessary over how ever many weeks you can craft a tier pierce.
Oh, yeah, once again, tie player power behind a profession. We know how much money that made Blizzard from people buying tokens.
