I appreciate the inclusion but having a deaf hunter doesn't have any sense, as hearing is VERY important while hunting. It has even less sense to have it as a leader.
Deaf characters are fine and all, but...a deaf hunter? How's that even work? What's next, a blind surgeon?
Nothing wrong with a deaf character if it's written well. But I hope it doesn't turn out like Pelagos where people in the community who ACTUALLY have the identity being written about had to correct Blizzard on their handling of it.Hard of hearing people in the alpha, I would love to know after you play through this zone and meet these centaur, Did they do the character justice or did it feel like cheap tokenism? Don't let "supporters" speak for you when they may not understand either way. Let your own message be heard, it's the only one that matters <3
huh thats neat. I was sure there was others in the past but neat.
It's so funny that those against the addition of this character are the same type of people that'd say other people are easily triggered snowflakes. Really seems like it's the other way around. Getting so upset over something like this shows just how easily riled up you get. Just saying, lmao.
Awesome... I like things like this the most when it is woven into the narrative of the story or environment as if it a normal everyday thing (just like in the real world). The only time these diversity elements ever become an issue with anyone is when it is jarring or wildly out of context with the story etc. The real life people that are being represented like all people are just trying to make their way thru the world and be treated fairly and consistently. This should be no different in a game setting. We need to get to the point where it is not necessary to "point" out our differences so much... but rather what we have in common. Good job Blizz!
So evryone is cool with dragons, old gods, orcs and magic swords.....buuuuutttttt a hunter being deaf is just too far?Did I miss something?
That's fine so long as this leader doesn't also decide any centaurs born in their tribe with hearing issues shouldn't get any kind of treatment and would be better off deaf.
Pretty cool actually
