No red dragon whelpling accompanying Kolgar? Shame.
I'm so, so hyped to see that the Dragonmaw are finally admitting their crimes and getting redemption for it.
In regards to where the Dragonmaw should go/develop now, one possible option is to convene with the AU Thunderlord Mag'har. For those that don't know, the Dragonmaw have always been called the Dragonmaw, even before coming to Azeroth. This is because 'dragon' is what they called their native rylaks, and what they also called the actual dragons when they first saw them. The word is 'Nelghor' in Orcish, and refers to both rylaks and dragons. During the development of Warlords of Draenor the AU Dragonmaw were largely cut because of the issue of the name, and were instead replaced with the Thunderlords, a clan focused on big game hunting and taming animals of all kinds, including rylaks. So depending on how much of their dragon taming skills came from magical tools and enslavement, and how much came from animal husbandry, it's possible that the Dragonmaw could reforge themselves into the tamers and breeders of Orgrimmar's flying mounts, including Wyverns, Bats, Rylaks brought from AU Draenor, and Chimaera both from Kalimdor and from Outland (Outland Chimaera are mutated Rylaks). There's also the potential for incorporating the Protodrakes, Wylderdrakes, Velocidrakes, and Pterrordaxes, but the middle two seem to be exclusive to the Dragon Isles, the former was already being used by the Dragonmaw during MoP and WoD, and the latter are more for the Zandalari. Meanwhile the Thunderlords keep their 'hat' of still being the best big game hunters and tamers of most large animals of the Orcish clans.
Really wish WoW would return to small stories like this and follow these “insignificant” characters more. Some of the biggest characters in WoW today started off as nobodies compared to who they are now.
With all the forgiving the Orc clans had to do, it's hilarious that the dark-iron dwarves only needed a handshake and a good beer to be friends without any need for redemption.
I'm hoping that this is eventually followed by orcs getting access to MU Blackrock and Dragonmaw customization.
I joined the Dragonmaw! I hope this indicates the addition of Dragonmaw skin colors for orc character customization!
Olive branch.A fracking olive branch.Somehow the writer decided to use a real world symbol of peace in WoW, in a nonhuman, shamanic-warrior culture. Even a “peace pipe” would make more sense.
mayibe i i'll join this clan.
