Not perfect but definitely obvious the creator has a lot of passion and drive.
The lighting and texture work is absolutely terrible.
Tremendous amount of talent however I never like these personally. They look really bland and have no style to them, they also chuck on way too much post processing. Just to reiterate, these jobs always take a lot of effort and dedication, they just aren't for me.
Not bad but feels like its missing the sootey grime that makes the real city so special
Unbelievable, inspiring, and brilliant. You are a boss for creating this.
This one felt really off. Good job on the effort, but it was very jarring some of the textures next to each other. The windows were really weird.
this one, in my opinion, is a miss.too many people in the comments praising it for the sole fact it has more pixels, but the lighting needs some HEAVY tweaking, and a lot of the assets look placeholder/unfinished.it also feels like it's trying to emulate the wow art style while also trying to make everything look realistic, which, in my opinion, just doesn't work, you gotta just dedicate yourself to one style.sorry if I'm sounding overly critical, I am genuinely amazed at the amount of effort and time people sink into these projects, I know I would never have the drive or motivation to finish something like this. So even if I'm coming off as an ass, take it with a grain of salt, I wish I could create stuff like this.
It looks amazing to me. I don't really care if it's not exactly like actual WoW. That's not even really the point. So many people basically giving the whole thing a thumbs down! :( Everyone is an expert animator now. To re-create something we've all seen in a game and make you able to imagine you're looking at a video someone took walking around in that place, and not an animation, is outrageously amazing- breathtaking. Now I admit, the falling lava is a complete miss, it looks totally 2D flat, there's no movement until it hits the surface. They NAILED the candle fire though, wow! Just stunningly beautiful, and only rare moments that break the spell of it being filmed and not drawn. (I thought those were moreso outside, where various trees looked flat and badly colored, and just stuck out from the realistic landscape like a sore thumb.) Bravo.
I appreciate the work that went into this, clearly a talented person, but it loses the feel of the original quite badly.
I appreciate the effort, but this one was a swing and a miss.
Its missing texturing and shadowing on a lot of the structures and objects and far too much lighting. Makes it look like a cheaply rendered game or one that was pushed too early before it was properly finished. Compared to Stormwind and the other cities, this one is definitely at the bottom of the barrel.
I certainly could not create anything like that myself, but I do think it looks kinda.. bad. It's obviously not a professional product, so a very high quality shouldn't be expected, but this needs a lot of texture work to get it looking halfway decent. There also doesn't seem to have been much or any effort to blend elements of the environment, but instead, objects are just placed with no regard for how they would look in a more realistic Ironforge.Great effort went into it, but I'm not a fan.
Nicely rendered. But I agree the statue of Anvilmar is way off. But that's my only complaint.
Not look like ironforge. sorry
That's goddamn amazing. Mad props, Mr. Vagle.
Honestly I wouldn't mind if the game looked something like that, however I'm fully aware that Blizzard wouldn't spend money on making this happen while the game is doing good and they wouldn't do it when the game starts dying since it won't look like a profitable idea either. Also there's the issue where the current WoW runs on potatos while a game that looks like this will have a lot higher requirements and not everyone is a PC enthusiast and wants to have the latest and greatest components.
wow this looks really bad, like a game from the '90s
