Uther was probably too much of a moderate for the Kyrian "Alt-Light" and thus Forsworn. I doubt he suddenly turned evil.I think we're seeing the seeds of an expansion with the Light as the villain -- maybe a continuation of Yrel's Lightbound during the Mag'har Orc scenario.
Bastion doesn't serve the Light, so I don't think the question here is whether the Light is good or not.I really hope we don't end up having to kill Uther, though. He's my favourite Warcraft character, I love his new design and I'm going to Bastion only for him. It would be really cruel to just make him go down an Arthas-like way. I hope it's just that he represents a less extremist fringe of the Kyrians and that, in the end, he will work with us.
2002 Uther the Lightbringer :Remember, Arthas. We are paladins. Vengeance cannot be a part of what we must do!2020 Uther the Vengeful one:..........
"Bastion is the first zone that players will level in Shadowlands, lasting all the way to level 52"That mean no more picking the zone you start in?
hm how does the majority of the allied races + the kalimdor races know about uther ... or during "Igniting the Forge" it goes back to bc times... yet the allied races + pandas + cata races didnt participated in that.the best would be for a mag'har orc:
The obvious answer is that the Forsworn are actually the good guys in all of this.>.>Sorry, but I go where Uther goes.
There are 2 Uther models in SL, a Forsworn and also a blue Kyrian one. So I bet we will save him from whatever he has became and bring him back to the Light side.
I am afraid that they will mutilate or completely re-write Uther's personality like they did with Malfurion and seeing that they do that at a whim doesnt give me much hope and I dont feel excited seeing Uther at all.I didnt like Uther but if he is another character they changed their personality......well , its not like they killed any excitement when it comes to story telling in Legion when I saw Malfurion completely opposite of what he was......
When I discovered the Bastion storyline involved wiping the memories and emotions of people to turn them something "pure", I thought "So the path to heaven is indoctrination?" and hoped the story would end with "This is wrong, people deserve their agency."Lo and behold, someone is saying this! ...The bad guys. The bad guys the are ones saying indoctrination is wrong and people deserve to keep their memories and emotions.I really want to hope there will be some kind of twist where the Kyrian realize the Mawsworn are right, and the Mawsworn find a better way to fix the problem without the help of the literal ruler of hell....buuuut this is "forgive and forget genocide" Blizzard, so I doubt that will happen. Most likely Uther and the Mawsworn will be killed off as villains (Or worse, "realize they're wrong" and be "redeemed.") and we'll be told why "letting so of the past" is so good and the Kyrian will go back to merrily brainwashing and indoctrinating souls. Because who cares what terrible crimes you commit as long as Blizzard says you're the good guy?
