With the relics of the past vendor shuffles also nerfed into the ground, this is just another big hit to goldmaking in the prepatch. Yeah, this has been known for like almost 2 months now, but this still stings.
Guess Blizzard just wants people to buy gold.
...very sad news
:( sucks.
If prices from the AH don't adapt, I will never be able to buy potions or anything else important. I'm bad at goldmaking so I only rely on raw gold to buy stuff.
Always seems silly to do this. Farming old raids is not the issue. People multi-boxing 120s and farming for extended periods in quest areas are the issue--it really messes up the spawn rates and can make things difficult for leveling characters when mobs respawn basically instantly. Even then, I think it's not an issue with the gold from drops but with allowing multi-boxing like that. I understand they wanted to get that sub money in the past, but chances are those folks are buying those subs with gold now, so they're not even paying anymore... Oh well.
I thought this was typical time to time and they nerf raw gold on old content? Legion should be be farmible etc

This seems like it's bad for the game. Many people (myself included) make a pretty large sum of their gold from running old raids on multiple characters on a weekly basis. Running old raids is one of the many pieces of legacy content people in this game enjoy most, and it saddens me to see this sort of gold nerf. I can definitely see why some people would be upset or would even quit because of a change like this.
Well, multiboxers do hold a large part of the economy.
What about price for repair items? In bfa the price was already higher than your income if you weren't actively trying to earn money
I admit, I get a little peeved when I read something like this. Raw gold farming in old content is one of the reliable ways that I enjoy making gold - and it's getting nerfed.Meanwhile there's a multiboxing druid spamming moonfire in Suramar 24/7 (totally not botting tho honest blizz) to sell off the loot, and no sign of that behaviour being frowned upon. Sure there's an AoE cap coming with Shadowlands, but that's not going to have a practical impact for those guys.
I suppose the price of some of the mounts I still need to buy like the frogs from Nazmir or the rustbolt exalted mount are unchanged? I'm not a booster so I relied largely on old raids to rake in the cash. Hopefully freehold still gives a good return, in that case I'll just farm that. Anyhow, seems like a stupid thing to just nerf most peoples only avenue of making gold. I guess we all should become either boosters, multiboxers or just buy wow-tokens?
Bad change, probably done by mistake due to the level squish but Blizzard is too lazy to care.
Jeez. And here I was thinking my gold income had already bottomed out in BfA, but evidently there's room to further reduce it. This whole expansion has been a constant drain on my bankroll, and if this is a sign of what's to come, I'm guessing it's only gonna get worse. Phew. Not a good change, Blizz.
How about fix the Bot Problem first (you know the obvious bots standing infront of dungeon or Hotspots (like the nest of aviana) with the mammut mount and nobody at blizz cares...).
" relics of the past vendor shuffles also nerfed into the ground" It was not a nerf, it was a fix to something that was never intended in the first place.
